ISRAEL: Government approves call-up of up to 400,000 reservists amid ongoing war with Iran and Hezbollah
• IDF says this is a maximum ceiling, not the actual number to be called • Previous cap stood at 280,000 • Move aimed at expanding flexibility for Operation Roaring Lion • Designed to meet growing needs across multiple fronts

And to think we are only sending a piddly 4000 boots on the ground...
I doubt we’ll send any, except many Delta Force (or equivalent) to go snag the uranium.
The threat sure does make the Iranians expend a lot of energy looking over the horizon, though. Only so long you can keep up that kind of vigilence.
Cool, they are next door let them handle the whole thing as we should have from the beginning
That uranium is buried under a mountain and left there on purpose as it will require the SeaBees or private contractors at least to dig it out, a sizeable security force to protect the operation, a seriously sized runway for heavy loads and logistics that will resemble a small invasion...
I agree with your assessment. This stuff is not in some warehouse just waiting to be plucked by special forces.
It will take sizeable engineering, logistics and security to get at it and get it out safely.
They are better off bombing the hell out of the entrances whenever they are created,
They are being bombed by your brothers and terrorist are in their country. This is for internal security.
Just heard on the boob tube that 58% of Joe Pedo’s 20 million DNC illegal alien Fentynales and Methheadists are against America attacking their Iranian terrorist friends.
Maybe. But that’s a delay of months to Iran getting back on track vs. a do-over that might not be possible.
I don’t know where or how the uranium is stored or if it can be accessed.
If we don’t take it; regime change seems the viable option unless it’s a deal where they let us go and get it unmolested.
What Israel chooses to do in Lebanon is their business.
But *I* think the troops need a good long rest.
But hey! I’m nobody, so they’ll do what they please …
The uranium is the last piece on the table. How do we eliminate that?
I have no idea. But it has to have been a planner’s nightmare to figure that one out. I suspect we’ll see that play out in the next few weeks…
Where is the uranium, physically?
I have no idea …
Grok’s thoughts on where the uranium is:
As of late March 2026, during the ongoing U.S.-Israeli military campaign against Iran, the location and status of Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium (HEU) enriched to 60%+ U-235 (near-weapons-grade) remain only partially verified due to the lack of IAEA inspector access since the June 2025 strikes and the effects of repeated bombings.
Pre-Conflict Stockpile
Before the June 2025 Israeli and U.S. strikes (the “12-day war”), the IAEA reported Iran held approximately 440–441 kg of uranium enriched up to 60% (in the form of UF6 gas in small canisters). This quantity was enough, if further enriched to 90%, for roughly 8–11 nuclear weapons depending on the exact metrics used.
Current Assessments (as of March 2026)
• Primary location: Isfahan (Esfahan) nuclear complex — The bulk of the stockpile, assessed at a bit more than 200 kg (possibly slightly higher), is stored in a deep underground tunnel complex at Isfahan. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stated in early March 2026 that this material was “mainly” there during the last inspections, and the widespread assessment is that it is probably still there. The tunnels appear to have survived the June 2025 strikes largely intact structurally, though the U.S. targeted the entrances with missiles (e.g., Tomahawks) to seal access. U.S. intelligence believes Iran may have created a narrow access point to reach it, but monitoring suggests no large-scale movement has occurred.
• Other sites — Smaller portions are believed to remain at or near Natanz (including possibly a deep underground area known as Pickaxe Mountain) and Fordow. Some material at enrichment/production sites may have been destroyed, damaged, or compromised during the 2025 strikes or the current 2026 campaign. No confirmed large-scale dispersal or relocation outside these known facilities has been publicly verified.
• Total remaining — Estimates for intact 60% HEU hover around 400–440 kg overall, with the Isfahan tunnels holding the largest accessible (or semi-accessible) share. The IAEA has “lost continuity of knowledge” over the exact quantities, locations, and condition due to no inspections.
Impact of Strikes
• June 2025 strikes — Targeted Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan. Enrichment halls and infrastructure were heavily damaged or rendered inoperable, but the deep storage tunnels at Isfahan were not fully destroyed (too deep even for some bunker-busters). Entrances were sealed to prevent access or removal. No significant radiation leaks were reported at the time.
• 2026 campaign (Operation Epic Fury and related strikes) — Additional strikes have hit Natanz entrances and other nuclear-related sites. These appear aimed at further degrading access, preventing recovery, or targeting supporting infrastructure. No major new radiation incidents have been confirmed. Israel and the U.S. have emphasized destroying Iran’s enrichment capacity (centrifuges, power supplies, etc.), with Netanyahu claiming as of mid-March that Iran “no longer has the capacity to enrich uranium.” The physical HEU stockpile itself is harder to eliminate without ground operations or risking dispersal.
Challenges and Risks
The material is stored in transportable canisters, making it theoretically movable if Iran could clear rubble or use alternative routes—but U.S./Israeli intelligence and monitoring (satellite, etc.) are focused on detecting any such efforts. U.S. officials have discussed options like special forces raids to secure the stockpile (especially at Isfahan), but this would be high-risk and require significant resources. There are proliferation concerns if the regime collapses or chaos allows non-state actors to access it.
In summary, the majority of Iran’s 60%+ enriched uranium is assessed to be entombed or stored in the underground tunnel complex at the Isfahan nuclear site, with lesser amounts potentially at Natanz and Fordow facilities. Exact quantities and condition are uncertain without on-site verification, and ongoing strikes continue to target related infrastructure to prevent recovery or reconstitution. The situation is fluid amid the active conflict.
That is a huge number for a nation that size. Jeez.
That's gotta be a hairy job site to tackle, kind of like those coal miners that the USSR brought in to dig under Chernobyl.
Yep and most died in the process.
That very topic was mentioned BUT the optics of radioactive material poisoning the environment if that stuff gets blown up into the atmosphere would not be well received.

Good.
We should maintain air & sea power with some commando operations during the current mission. Let the ragheads & beanie heads “duke it out” on the ground.
It’s their neighborhood not ours.
Piddly?

As for the 400,000 reservists, expect that many of them are dual citizens in the United States. Some even took oaths against the U.S. Constitution.
