I find it problematic that that the GOPee [lame as most of them are] have but a few seat margin in the House.

Given their lame performance for the last two years, they are very likely to go down in 2026.

Thune is heading down the same road.

“Missouri Supreme Court”

So, this goes directly to federal courts then? I know it’s probably too late to get that ball rolling, but a leftist court of original jurisdiction could easily put a hold on it. I’d count on it.

We should be careful celebrating “manufactured” seats.

It would be so much better if we had candidates that could actually win seats with their policies.

What is good for the goose, will eventually be enjoyed by the gander.

Why wouldn’t it go to federal courts? That is the standard Modus Operandi of Democrats.

This is a pure state constitutional interpretation issue (what Missouri's own constitution allows regarding the frequency of redistricting).

SCOTUS generally does not second-guess state supreme courts on their own constitutions unless there's a clear federal question (e.g., Voting Rights Act racial gerrymandering claim or Equal Protection violation).

No major federal claims appear to be driving the current litigation here, and recent SCOTUS precedents have largely stepped back from federal involvement in partisan gerrymandering disputes.

Tell that to the 9 deep blue states that have used gerrymandering to give Republicans exactly ZERO seats in The House from those states.

This stuff is too cute by half. It’s the kind of crap that comes before a civil war.

Have a ball.

Well, if you are only choosing from among Republicans, you are kind of limiting your chances.
