Moments ago, at my direction, the United States Central Command executed one of the most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East, and totally obliterated every MILITARY target in Iran’s crown jewel, Kharg Island. Our Weapons are the most powerful and sophisticated that the World has ever known but, for reasons of decency, I have chosen NOT to wipe out the Oil Infrastructure on the Island. However, should Iran, or anyone else, do anything to interfere with the Free and Safe Passage of Ships through the Strait of Hormuz, I will immediately reconsider this decision. During my First Term, and currently, I rebuilt our Military into the Most Lethal, Powerful, and Effective Force, by far, anywhere in the World. Iran has NO ability to defend anything that we want to attack — There is nothing they can do about it! Iran will NEVER have a nuclear weapon, nor will it have the ability to threaten the United States of America, the Middle East or, for that matter, the World! Iran’s Military, and all others involved with this Terrorist Regime, would be wise to lay down their arms, and save what’s left of their country, which isn’t much! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

Hey, Tuco!
Bold move. I hope it pays off. Iran has dangled that threat of ‘We will block all trade via the strait of Hormuz!’
for years and years. Those dropped mines will still be down there waiting, unless there is a plan for that too.
Good luck, Mr. President. When you win, we all win.
Donald Trump is showing a lot of restraint here. I would have left it burning or occupied.
Ok if you bomb and wipe out the defenses, get the Marines in and seize it
Taking kharg island would be a good exercise for the marines.
Occupied. We should appropriate enough of their oil to fill our SPR
as well as pay for the expense of prosecuting this war
Take it and hold it. Then you have Iran by the short hairs.
+1
I’m probably not paying enough attention to the details, but am confused.
In December (IIRC) all by themselves, the people of Iran rose up and protested against the Mullahs. I believe about 30,000 civilians were slaughtered by the Mullahs and the protests faded away.
Now the US is in the fight, raining destruction on all aspects of the Mullahs’ control. Is there a good reason the people are not out trying to seize control? Why was that a good idea in December when they had no military support? Why is it a bad idea today when the Iranian government is cowering in their bunkers? It’s the contrast between December and March which confuses me.
“”Ok if you bomb and wipe out the defenses, get the Marines in and seize it”
That’s coming next of course. Might happen soon with the 2500 Marines he just activated, with 5000 more on the way. I knew Trump wouldn’t sit on this long. It’s not in his nature. The Island will be ours to control.
Maybe they’re getting ready to root for whoever wins.
my gut feeling is that President Trump told Iran that if they F-ed with shipping in the Persian Gulf that the USA would destroy Kharg Island ... well, Iran F-ed with Persian Gulf shipping and now that found out President Trump wasn’t bluffing ...
It will cost US taxpayers $1 billion dollars PER DAY to wage war in Iran.
Based on recent estimates from the 2026 US/Israeli military action with Iran......deploying, transporting, and maintaining troop forces in the region...... costs the US taxpayer at least $630 million just for the initial transport of troops, ships, and aircraft. (Forbes)
The total cost of operations involving this size of force
has been much higher due to bomb-happy Israel’s intense combat operations.
Initial Buildup: Transporting troops, along with aircraft carriers and equipment to the region, was estimated at over $630 million before major strikes began.
The overall military operation in the region is reported to cost approximately $1 billion per day.
Total Initial Costs: The first six days of the 2026 Iran conflict were estimated by Pentagon officials to have cost over $11.3 billion. (Forbes)
These figures include the rapid buildup of US troops and the first week of airstrikes. Future costs depend on the length and intensity of the deployment, with analysts estimating a mere TWO-MONTH operation could cost between $40 billion and $95 billion. (abcnews.com)
Israel consistently remains the top recipient of tax dollars earmarked for military aid annually. (Council on Foreign Relations)
Since the war with Hamas began in October 2023, US military aid has increased significantly. The U.S. has provided or authorized at least $16.3 billion to $17.9 billion in military aid to Israel in that period, far exceeding the standard mega-billions. (USAFacts)
Egypt and Jordan historically are large recipients of US tax dollars for military aid due to an extortion scheme——bribes for signing “peace treaties” with Israel.
Historically for many years, Israel is the largest
recipient of US tax dollars in military aid.
Currently US aid related to the war in Gaza has kept Israel as the top recipient of military assistance through 2024/2025.
Israel is doubly dependent-—it alone is allowed to spend a portion of its US tax dollar aid on its own thriving profit-making domestic defense industry, NOT the much-ballyhooed “purchases” from American arms mfgs. (Council on Foreign Relations)
We told them that the time will come, but for now stay in their homes as not be collateral damage in the air attacks.
The US and Isreal are degrading the IIRC thugs. The time will come
“Is there a good reason the people are not out trying to seize control?”
We haven’t given them the green light.
I think if he does, it will be with Saudi elite forces to confuse the fuck out of the Iranians
