Conservative icon and Hollywood legend James Woods has announced he’s ditching the Republican Party.
Woods, a fierce patriot and vocal supporter of President Trump, blasted the “uniparty traitors” in a fiery post on X, declaring, “I am done with the Republican Party.”
Woods’ decision comes amid growing frustration with Senate Republican leadership, particularly cowardly Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD), who has continuously stalled the crucial SAVE Act, a bill designed to safeguard American elections by requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration.
Without this measure, Woods warns, the floodgates will remain open for election fraud, illegal aliens pouring in, and the permanent destruction of our republic.
“Between this and Thune’s refusal to pass the SAVE Act, I’m done with these uniparty traitors,” Woods wrote.
“I’m changing my party affiliation to Independent. No wonder President Trump is fighting an uphill battle every day,” added.

He is correct. The crooks in Congress are destroying the nation.
So what did he join?
SAVE act has like 80% support across the board and yet can’t get it across the finish line
The only time I’ve seen them act quickly was the Epstein files which leads me to believe that they knew it was basically nothing
To them that is a feature not a bug.
He’s registered as an Independent now.
Woods is right, yet again. The feckless GOP has given us a choice. Get poked in one eye. Or get poked in both eyes.
I suppose that first choice will eventually disappear. Then what? I have my guesses. But I think I’ll save them for a doomsday novel I might write someday.
It’s times like now when I wish we had a proportional electoral system rather than a district plurality winner system. That way Trump could form a MAGA party without guaranteeing the Democrats complete control of Congress.
The GOP was always too liberal for me to join so I have always been a registered Independent, I looked at Nixon’s liberalism and figured that I might vote for him as the lesser of two evils but I didn’t want to be a member of his party.

((you could read this above, at the beginning))
I feel his pain. I don’t consider myself Republican either. Im MAGA.
Allergic reaction to a turtle.
“I’m a mental weakling and need the acceptance of my peer group.
What took him so long?
You’d think a MIT guy would be a little quicker on the uptake.
I get his anger but independent candidates have sometimes drawn votes away from major party candidates, resulting in losses for those parties.
I suppose that it should tell us something that the “Uniparty” is Left Wing, not Right Wing.
You will not long fix the Republican Party without fixing the Democrat Party, as well. The ‘Rats will just lead the other side into cheating, again.
I don’t think that balkanization is the answer, either.
“SAVE act has like 80% support across the board and yet can’t get it across the finish line”
There was, apparently, the same numbers in support of the bill requiring the complete disclosure of their slush fund. Who was paid, how much was paid, on whose behalf the funds were paid and all the circumstances involved. And because this involved taxpayer’s money, it could be even more damaging than the Epstein files. But, that bill got shelved.
Guess they can’t work on that at 5he same time they work on the Epstein files . . .
Legend??
Who is he?
That’s where they’ve got us, isn’t it?
