During a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Wednesday, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) told Angel Families who were present in the audience that he was “sorry,” but that Americans are more likely to be murdered by fellow Americans than illegal aliens.
“For the folks that are here and your families, I’m sorry. It’s terrible what happened to your children and family members, but they are more likely, American citizens are more likely to be attacked by United States citizens who are not undocumented who came here and who were born here,” Cohen told Angel Families. “[Americans] are more likely to commit these crimes.”
Several Angel Families, whose loved ones have been murdered by illegal aliens, sat behind Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Kristi Noem as she faced the committee.
Following Cohen’s comments, officials at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) responded, calling the statement “reprehensible.”
“Rep. Cohen pointing to Angel Families in the audience: ‘I’m sorry for what happened to your loved ones, BUT…’ There is no ‘but,’ Rep. Cohen. Your comments here are reprehensible,” ICE officials wrote on X.
During a recent White House ceremony honoring Angel Families, Angel Dad Steve Ronnebeck told the establishment media in the room that every American death at the hands of an illegal alien is wholly preventable.

What planet are Democrats from, we need to stay from. I can’t believe that people actually vote for crud like this guy.
Does he think that will play well in his district in Texas? Or does he have such a brain dead and comatose constituency that he knows it doesn’t matter what he says?
It’s kind of like a scene from a horror movie, you’re being raped and murdered by an illegal alien and a Democrat is standing there smiling saying well you were even more likely to be raped and murdered by a fellow American so what’s the difference?

The basic logic of this is if you already have 10 murderers living in your neighborhood you should accept three more murderers because hey you already had more than that.

Seems to Cohen that murders by illegals are perfectly acceptable, and we are bigoted or racist for disagreeing.

Anyone running for office against a democrat need only post this sentence in an ad campaign:
“Don’t you wish Democrats cared about US citizens as much as they care for illegal aliens?”
And then maybe add another sentence:
“If I am elected I will represent YOU not THEM”

Irrelevant. The Dems keep NOT getting it or are intentionally misleading. It’s not as if those people would have died anyway. If those illegals were not here, those people would not be dead! Doesn’t matter how many or few are murdered by Americans.
