STUNNER: CNN’s Fareed Zakaria Actually Rips Fiscally ‘Out of Control’ Blue Cities

One of CNN’s most notorious TV egoists surprises viewers every once in awhile by displaying a modicum of common sense in the face of leftist politicians running economies into the mud. His recent repudiation of blue city spending is no exception.

CNN host Fareed Zakaria actually ripped how Democrat strongholds like New York City were “out of control, promising more, spending more, delivering less and pushing off fiscal problems to some future day,” in an X post promoting a February 23 segment of Fareed Zakaria GPS.

In a stunning display of red-pilling, Zakaria directly called out the newly minted communist NYC mayor Zohran Mamdani for being the poster child for radical Dems steering their cities into economic brick walls: “Zohran Mamdani ran on a promise to make New York affordable.” However, rebuked Zakaria, “Last week, he unveiled a budget that is — in a word — unaffordable.”

Gee, where was this before the communist took over NY. Funny how all the conservatives literally predicted this would happen, the only thing we could have improved upon was the timeline, even we did not expect it to happen so fast.

Better late to the party than never, I guess. But it has been blindingly obvious for years that most Blue cities are a fiscal disaster - corrupt and overspending with no effective results. The one Blue city that still functioned was New York City, but with Mamdani, that is about to change.

NYC voted for this Muslim.

He’s treating the city as he would a cute, female 12-year old.

Private capital investments in housing and commercial NYC ventures is declining. High taxes, regulation happy and government officials hostile to capitalism and profit are detrimental to business and the tax base.

Mamdani will need to somehow convince private capital to invest and the Federal government to subsidize. Good luck.

The article doesn't even mention the massive time-bomb of underfunded municipal pension obligations. Those cities are going to be looking at their state governments, and even the federal government, to bail them out. It'll be pitched as "working people are owed what they were promised."

But a hard line has to be drawn there. No state or federal dollars to pay municipal pension obligations. If cities don't have the money to pay out the promised pensions, either city taxes must be raised, or pension benefits must be cut.

And that day of reckoning is coming.

By doctrine she could be married for 6 years already.
