South Korea looks good from the outside, but if you are born as a middle class regular person, it’s a hyper competitive hellscape squid-game. A society maniacally obsessed with status, competition, achievement and materialism.
So it's like USA but times 100.
Although we are getting there. It's just taking us longer.

South Korea has one of the lowest fertility rates in the world at 0.75 compared to 2.1 for minimum population replacement. Only Hong Kong at 0.74, and Macau at 0.69 beat out Korea for last place.
