A quiet diplomatic decision just redrew the geopolitical map of the Red Sea. This video breaks down why Israel’s recognition of Somaliland is a calculated power move tied to global shipping lanes, Berbera Port, and rising tensions with Turkey—far beyond a symbolic gesture. We connect the dots between the Bab el-Mandeb chokepoint, Gaza’s future, and a brewing regional rivalry. If Somaliland is a seperate country from Somalia, one would think they could have come up with a name of their own, but
no body asked me about it.
If it is to Israel’s advantage to now recognize Somaliland as this separate and sovereign state, they are smart to establish trade and business relations right now, before the start of any Hot Wars in the region.
Not all geopolitical decisions are made in Brussels.
Somaliland has largely been a self-governing entity since 1991, and it considers itself the true successor of British Somaliland.
Good stuff.

Very.
Because of the wretched Ilhan Omar, Tim Walz and the Democrats 3rd-world import welfare scam, we’ve all been forced to learn Somali tribal politics.
Jacob Frey actually won his recent election against Omar Fateh, because he made a point of getting the tribal vote of Somaliland Isaaq tribe migrants in MSP.
Somaliland Isaaq tribesmen hate the Ilhan Omar clan - and her in particular, given her father’s connections to the dictator Mohammed Siad Barre, who tried to wipe Somaliland its tribe off the map.
Recognizing Somaliland also helps Israel create a wedge against the influence of Omar in the United States too.
Grea post. Thanks.

That’s already been happening for a while. And the UAE are right along with Israel in setting things up behind the scenes. UAE owns an interest in the Berbera Port (alright, that name makes me think of the Flintstones, too;-).
Somali and Somaliland tribes have figured out something most American white people cannot seem to fathom.
They both fight for their own side.
AI generated BS with lots of fake images. I have learned to ignore this kind of crap. I want to hear a real person present a case, whatever it is.
this report from five months ago discusses the issue. And it is not a made up video but a regular India news program.
Then don’t listen, and stop making such a production out of it. Nobody really cares if you listen or not.
Thank you.
But wait! I don’t trust Indians, with their Ahpoo, Raj Kuthrapali accents! Give me a good AI voice, and I’ll believe anything they say./sarc.lol (the vehicle is not important, it’s the facts and the substance conveyed that matters).
Yes.
And, unlike the rest of (former) Somalia, it has actually well functioning government.
This map is wrong.
The people residing now in Minnesota did not came from Somaliland.
They came from Somalia lands of Benadir, Galmundug or Hirshabelle.
So, please, correct, instead Somaliland, insert Benadir, please!
Somaliland is a more cohesive cooperative tribal geography
Think how the performative more civilized Ibo in Nigeria are to the Yoruba
Somalia is extremely tribal defined
To you they may all be one race. They do not see it that way.
At all.
