"Physician, heal thyself!” Jesus said to those gathered in the synagogue at Nazareth.
The admonition was aimed at hypocrisy and moral blindness — a warning that those who presume authority must first examine their own conduct.
Today, someone needs to repeat those words to health care professionals who have allowed Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) to corrode their ethics and professionalism.
That warning applies just as much to nursing as it does to medicine.
Nursing emerged as a modern profession in the mid-19th century under the leadership of Florence Nightingale. In 1893, the Nightingale Pledge codified the profession’s moral foundation, committing nurses to “devote myself to the welfare of those committed to my care” and to “do no harm.” Compassion, neutrality, and duty were not optional — they were the profession’s reason for being.
The American Nursing Association Code of Ethics requires, “The nurse’s primary commitment is to the patient, whether an individual, family, group, community, or population.” I presume groups include Republicans, Trump supporters, and ICE agents.
Medicine, with nursing as one of its pillars, exists to heal the sick and comfort the vulnerable. While some may be drawn to health care for technical challenges, flexible schedules, or job security, the vast majority of nurses enter the profession with sincere intentions to help others. That shared moral commitment is what allows patients to trust those caring for them during moments of fear, pain, and helplessness.

Of course it’s trite to mention Hitler but Mengele was not really an anomaly in the Third Reich. There were plenty of doctors and nurses who wanted to kill the “useless eaters” as well as the Jews. Purifying the country by getting rid of “bad people” was just part of the job. Today, Trump supporters are the “bad people”.
The nurses on strike in NYC can freeze for all I care. They’re out there screaming that they don’t want ICE in hospitals. You want a pay raise and you’re out there supporting rapists and murderers. Lotsa luck scumbags.
This is what happens when RN’s are educated in our colleges today. They are taught the same liberal garbage with the same liberal professors filling heads with anti American, communist propaganda.
Too bad we no longer have nurses educated in hospital settings, tested beforehand to ascertain they have the heart and aptitude to care for people.
Am I correct that the male nurses are the ones who hate Republicans the most?
There’s certainly been a few wackos lately
I can’t imagine a deranged nurse working for any doctor who might inject you with poison because they don’t like you aura.
Women were heavily involved in the Red Guards and millions participated in China’s Cultural Revolution. Woman are definitely not more thoughtful, empathic, or measured than men. There is no gender barrier to being a destructive zealot.
What the heck are they teaching in nursing schools these days? Why so much politics?
Far too many.
That’s right.
The commie-fascist rot goes deeper than we ever thought.
Yeah we should list ALL of the threads 🧵🧵🧵 here
The problem is that women tend to be more empathic, but indiscriminately so. They often fail to discern the perpetrator from the victim, and are subject to empathizing with each. This renders them vulnerable to social influence, seeking to align themselves according to social cues. When that social influence comes from malicious sources, such as the political left, they nevertheless follow blindly. As we have seen, this never ends well, for anybody involved.
I know here in Indiana one DWI or similar alcohol related offense, and you lose you nursing license. I’m guess they would frown on the political crap too.
There are some good community college nursing programs out there. My great niece just finished her LPN training at one and starts her RN training this Spring. It was all nursing training no other classes. She lived at home and worked at her job at the retirement center while she attended school.
