On the government side:
We saw this years ago in Texas. Perry was getting a lot of money for his campaign from big pharma. He in turn MANDATED that the vaccines be required for public schools. One must note, the HPV vaccine was in its first iterations and had numerous problems (side effects) AND HPV is a sexually transmitted disease, so the entire herd-immunity argument was trash from the get-go.
Big pharma is one of the biggest political campaign donors at the state and federal level. They have some of the biggest lobbying efforts. They are among the biggest TV advertisement revenue generators. They somehow manage to get many of their key industry heads in the senior leadership positions of our bureaucracies (appointed) that oversee them (obvious conflict of interest).
They are an industry that has a right to sell their product, to advertise, and to be part of the political process. However, they are so big and influential, that you no longer have objectivity and prudent policy making.
How do we moderate this?

I had at least 800 hours experience litigating civil RICO cases in private practice. This lawsuit is deadly serious and could really shake up the health industry.
