Conservative journalist Nick Sortor has been detained in Minneapolis after he was forced to drive through a mob of violent anti-ICE protesters, who surrounded his vehicle, smashed his windows, and threatened to kill him and his colleague, Cam Higby.
Earlier on Sunday, Sortor was attacked by the mob rioting outside an ICE facility. Law enforcement had to deploy tear gas and pepper balls to stop it.
As the evening went on and they attempted to leave, rioters surrounded their vehicle, began smashing windows with frozen waterbottles, spray painting it, and threatening to kill them.

This is an effort by the left, to eliminate the right's ability to access and show the truth about what is happening, and only show what the left wants people to know.
Contrary to what some on FR have said, which is that 'conservative activist' should not be getting involved in exposing what the leftist are doing where danger might be involved... if the right doesn't get involved, you would never have known about the fraud that Nick Shirley exposed.
And to explain part of the sequence of events...
The protesters called minneapolis police on Nick and Cam and said they had guns and were a threat to protesters...
Nick and Cam went to the Eagan police station for protection, as they would have been arrested by the minneapolis police...

Who wants to be around such maniacs? Or drive anywhere near them with a vehicle that is worth greater than $0.00.
Sooner or later, those nutjobs are going to hurt or do worse to folks like Sortor (already happened to Andy Ngo). If I were in a position to do so, I would let it be known if such a thing happens, the financiers will be found and charged as accessories to the crime.
Let’s fund his defense and sue the crap out of Ellison and Frey.
I distinguish between what Nick Shirley did (exposing fraud) vs. what Sortor did, which was literally seek out the insane mob following the Renee Good/ICE agent incident. The timing and contexts are different.
A better activist posture right now would be to keep the FRAUD in full focus, and commit moral support to ICE.
By baiting the mob, Sortor is only helping the Left keep the initial FRAUD revelations (by Shirley) out of the headlines.
From what I read, they were later released without charges.

The Minneapolis mob is now filling its ranks with hardcore Antifa displacing the liberal Karens and aging hippies. Mayor Jacob Frey and Governor Walz have all but given control to the mob and with their rhetoric just flamed tensions more. It is only a matter of time before the burning and looting start again just like with George Floyd. I expect Walz and Frey will again like in the Floyd riots dither with a response until all hell breaks loose.
He will be prosecuted and imprisoned. We are now in Anarcho/Tyranny. The law is ruthlessly and aggressively applied to us. The democrats are not prosecuted, have cases dismissed by judges, and if they go to a jury, they get a not-guilty if there is one progressive on the jury.
Rule of law is over in America.
