Anyone know of any fishing charters near Naples/Marco Island, preferably half day where you can keep the fish you catch? We will be driving down south for Mardi Gras next month and will end up in Naples FL. around 2/19-2/22
Would like to go on a fishing charter mostly for DH's entertainment. Possibly something that doesn't break the bank ($500 or less for half day)

Make sure and start taking Dramamine a couple days before or you’ll be chumming the water!
If you don’t have much luck on that side of the state, try Stuart or Sebastian, FL fishing charters north of Vero Beach.
No fishing recommendations, but I do recommend Gulf Coast Clays. Great shooting club. Great facility.
DH and I haven’t gotten into shooting yet. We also don’t play golf!
I don’t normally get sea sick but we went to Portland ME on a shark fishing charter a few years back and, well, I shouldn’t have eat those potato chips before boarding.
I live about 100 miles to the north.
I have a captain on my street that runs a huge fishing boat. My neighbor Johnny sometimes goes on a trip. The boat goes about 60 miles out.
I used to have a female neighbor next door that was also in the business as an employee. Her boat is in the backyard, but I don’t see her anymore.
There are probably web reviews you could find and use.
What I would suggest is to scope out the charters before hand and make reservations a day or 2 before when the weather and waves look to be OK. I puked my guts out on a 60 footer years ago in 8-10 waves off the coast of San Diego. I was able to hold it in fishing on Lake Erie some years later in a 29 footer in 5 foot waves, but had to lay flat for periods of time..
Naples is on the Gulf of America side of FL so the water is pretty calm.
Is this the Naples where Sergeant Minor Tiny Timmy Tampon goes to hide when the crap hits the fan? When is Tippytoes Timmy Tampon going to send his NG guys downtown to keep the Sammy loving Minnie Pygmies from tearing down the hotel where the U.S. Government officers are staying. Question. Why haven’t I seen even one of these Minniesammies waving the African version of the new Minniesomali state colonial flag?
Thanks!
Well it’s Naples Florida and we chose it as a destination because last year, we went to Key Largo. Last time I went to Naples FL was in the early 80s.
Have no idea if Tampon Tim frequents the area.
These guys could likely help (and sell you a funny T-shirt and the same time!).

Welcome aboard the Two Conchs
Capt. Jack Carlson was born and raised in the Florida Keys and followed in his father’s footsteps, a long time fishing guide since 1973.
Capt. Jack has raised his 3 boys Capt. Austin, Capt. Tucker & Capt. JC Carlson the Conch way in the charter fishing industry here in the Florida Keys. They each run their own boat in the Two Conchs Fleet.
What makes up the Two Conchs is a team of Top Notch Captains running 29 boats in the fleet.
Where else will you find the Two Conchs? You may have seen them on two very popular TV Shows called “Two Conchs Sportfishing TV” on The Outdoor Channel” and “Two Conchs Adventures” on The Sportsman Channel, World Fishing Network and on MyOutdoorTV.
We can’t wait to put you on your next trophy catch whether it is fishing the flats, hitting the reef & wrecks, heading into the deep blue for the pelagics or traveling to the far Gulf for the monsters!
Tight lines,
Capt. Jack Carlson”

For a six-pack and the cost of bait, I can perfectly tell where the fish are NOT at.
Do an internet search for Naples fishing charters. Be flexible as to what you are fishing for and have the fishing boat crew clean and fillet the fish for you. Depending on where you are staying, you may be able to have the fish cooked and served by a knowledgeable host, even a hotel restaurant. The best fish I ever had was many years ago in Naples when friends cooked and served fish within a few hours of when it was caught.
I’m aware. I launch out of Venice, LA. You can still get sick out there.
