Did this happen to anyone else? Going around town to several places one day I noticed a gas tanker truck (something like Corrigan on the side) delivering at one Marathon station, then some time later to another Marathon with lower gas price and finally to a totally different brand station late in the day. Same truck, I'm sure. Last one was several cents higher due to its fine qualities as shown in the TV ads.

So the glories of one gas in the TV ads, and the malarkey about prices affected by driving amounts of people or effects of unrest in the Middle East, all are superseded by a gas supply company on a given day.

Differences in local gas pricing has nothing to do with speculation and global oil prices. It has more to do with taxation, labor and unique overhead at each location, and what the local market will bear. Filling stations make most of their money from beer and snack sales.
