Kalen DeBoer, Alabama Suffer Worst Bowl Loss Ever in CFP Shock vs Indiana

A week ago, Alabama Crimson Tide fans were ecstatic.

They had come back from a huge hole against Oklahoma on the road to win their opening round game in the College Football Playoff.

Head coach Kalen DeBoer was staying in Tuscaloosa and not talking to Michigan about their opening, and they had all the momentum in the world heading into the Rose Bowl against an unproven top seed, Indiana.

Before the New Year’s Day game in Pasadena, teams with a first-round bye in the new CFP format were 0-6. Indiana, like the other teams before them, could come in rusty against an experienced, well-prepared Alabama team riding high following a huge road win.

Then the game actually happened, and DeBoer watched from the sidelines as he witnessed the worst Bowl season lost in the century-plus history of Crimson Tide football.

Would like to see the time between the end of regular schedule and start of playoff games shrink. 28 days for some teams seems excessive.

Alabama was not that good. This is the fourth bad game in the last five. Alabama and Oklahoma did not belong in the playoffs. If the SEC wasn’t calling the shots they would not have gotten destroyed by Indiana because they would be sitting at home where they belong.

I didn't get a putdown of L.A. from that post per se, but regardless:

L.A. putdown intended or not, trying to slam fans who traveled for their team is a trash attitude in and of itself. And I say that as someone who was firmly cheering for Indiana.

And slamming every L.A. resident is just simply ignorant- it's not like the Dems win 100% of the vote there. Keep fighting the good fight, avital2. You're appreciated. Someone has to maintain some sanity...
