We lived in Dresden, Germany a while back. The BEST time to be in Germany is during Christmas. The choir in the background is the choir that is pictured in the video.

I like the chocolates there. I never went to Dresden but spent a lot of time in Munich and Frankfurt. I loved the little chocolate shops, but I don’t know how the locals resist it so well.
The ones in Wrocław and Kraków are better and safer.
So sad that we have to look at scenes like this, and wistfully think” “Ah yes, the good old days, when things were (relatively) normal.”
...Fifteen years ago...
cld51860, yeas...I agree with you. We are planning to go back next year. It may be the last time to do this.
We used to go to the one in Hameln (Pied Piper fame) and it was always a great time.
I spent two winters in Germany in the Army. It is wonderful in Christmas. Pleasant memories.
That’s timeless.
I tought a few technical courses at the college there. This was right at the beginning of Merkels invited invasion of turds from Africa and the MIddle East. She put a bunch of them in the village outside of town in the local hotel. The most filthy, violent, disgusting, racist, hate filled people you’ll every run across. The first thing they did was rob the little shops and after that, vandalized the church. The locals complained to the POlizei but all they could do is “report claims to the Refugee Program in Berlin. Of course nothing was reimbursed. Locals stopped going outside because of the harassment and they basically became occupiers. Imagine if you were old enough to survive the Dresden bombings only to have your own government install an occupying force after rebuilding decades earlier.
Going to a Christmas market in Germany today is truly a game of Russian Roulette.
My high school German teacher was from Dresden, but he got out after Hitler came to power and became a US citizen. His family, who remained, had a nice home there, but they had to leave when Dresden landed on the wrong side of the Iron Curtain.
I understand the one in Carmel, IN is pretty impressive. It’s just a tad bit north of Indianapolis.
As you have been saying so well in another debate:
„ Everytime I ask what the end goal of the godless progs are I just remember the scene from The Dark Night,
“Some men just want to watch the world burn.”
They seek to destroy anything good and beautiful. They hate themselves. They are disciples of Marx who hated the world and wanted it destroyed. Satan at least wanted his own kingdom. These democrat party demons want everything destroyed.“
Same thing over here in Germany, they even call themselves „democratic“. And no, they are not being sarcastic…
