I wrote this several years ago and finally u/l to Youtube for your enjoyment. I found an old book that had some wonderful illustrations to use with it. I hope you enjoy it! It was TOUGH to write since the poem is really very short. I had to squeeze in several themes. I added some special sound effects of toys, too. Make sure you "like" the video!!! It's one of my favorite.

You wrote that? So good I listened to it twice. Did you “play” it also? What instruments? How do you do this? Lovely.

Hi Auntie! Yes, I had to play each instrument as I constructed the song. I would lay down the melody first, then I would add the harmony and backup tracks. It’s all MIDI so I didn’t have to add each note individually. I’d try different ideas until I got it going in the direction I wanted. This one was difficult since it starts vrey quiet and then slowly build, etc.

Oh! I erred in my answer to you. I didn’t literally PLAY each instrument. I used a multi-timbral keyboard!! So there was really only ONE instrument that was capable of sounding like a violin or an oboe. etc.
