The more social order and global peace, the lower the demand for firearms in the United States.

I’m sorry, but I just don’t have any place left to put them.

According to the law of supply and demand, demand drops are followed by price drops. I guess it might be time to so some looking around.

If Democrats likely win the congress next year I’m sure gun and ammo sales will spike again.

I have all I need, and then some. At this point it’s just ammo, training, and maintenance.

I was discussing firearms acquisition syndrome with some fellow late boomers and confirmed that I was not the only one selling off surplus shooting irons or slowing down new purchases.
There's nothing like hitting your late sixties, looking at the safe and realizing that you have been storing and maintaining a bunch of freeloaders. Guns who haven't pulled their weight since your old hunting permissions ended- because so-and-so's kid now caters to rich urbanites with $1800 bows and $2000 getups, the local farmland baron bought up the old RR right of way and bulldozed it all back into cropland, and pretentious McMansions have desecrated the timber along the creek.
The Progress of Man.
