But if the US would get off it’s lazy, beer-soaked a$$ and read “The Final Report on the Conventions of Geneva of 1949”, and acquaint itself with the razor-sharp thinking of the authors, it would be concluded that:
A BELLIGERENT HAVING NO INTEREST IN FOLLOWING THE LAW OF ARMED CONFLICT, IS A BRIGAND, AND THEREFORE IS NOT AFFORDED ANY PROTECTION FROM THE CONVENTIONS.
But that would require reading, and thoughtful analysis: and we are not going to have that because D1 football is on, and the World Cup soccer tournament draw is this Friday.

The Geneva Convention only applies to SOLDIERS IN UNIFORM. It does NOT apply to terrorists.
And all we have to do is sacrifice our sanity one month a year.
