I knew this Ken Burns was worthless when I flipped to his Baseball documentary and all I saw was Billy Crystal and Mario Cuomo.
I wanted to see Ty Cobb, Keenesaw Mountain Landis, Tris Speaker, Honus Wagner, Hank Greenberg, Candy Cummings.
I would expect nothing less from Ken Burns. Did anyone actually think he would do otherwise?
(It is defunded, no? )
In some ways apparently.
It appears they defunded CPB which in turn, funded them (PBS and NPR)
I’ll have to reread that above
She said... "Gee, Washigton was really a jerk." And, there you have it! I knew I wouldn't miss anything if I skipped it!

I do not know the status of all of the lawsuits though some are referenced above
#2 ans 3 are vomplete and utter bullsqueeze.
Sit through the whole series and you can think of yourself as following intellectual pursuits. Narrators were ‘scholars’ like Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep.
My problem-I fell asleep.
“But there is also plenty of quality and accurate information,”
But which of his product is quality and accurate? There is no way to tell without deep research on everything he says. I generally don’t wanna have to do that.
(Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep)
We’re thinking of calling ourselves “Meryl Streep”...
Thanks for the link!
👍👍
He’s not foreign born. I reported your comment for you dumb ass.
Kenneth Lauren Burns was born on July 29, 1953, in Brooklyn, New York.

Glad I knew to skip it.....
Ken Burns would fail American history, grade school level.
Anything that doesn't fit into his worldview is distorted or discarded. While many others suffer the same condition, he's made it his life calling to reinforce it by making films that self-reinforce and self-validate it.
His films are attempts to rewrite the past to frame his present, and only agreeable viewers even exist to him.
Amen No truer words...
I watched about an hour of it last night and was appalled. Very few white male historians. Lots of female historians; one said that moving on up in the United States at that period involved slavery and taking native American lands, and she said that with the smugness that alerted everyone that no one else was perceptive enough to cite that.
Of course, we all know that never before in world history has anybody did such a thing as conquering lands and subjugating populations.
I know I was tired, but did the narrator say that the Seneca tribes were living in lavish mansions with glass windows? The narrator seemed to be blurring his topic, describing the supposed annilation of Indian tribes while showing these type houses.
All in all, no surprises since the little worm Ken Burns was producing and directing.
