Jorge Bonilla wrote a story here on Sunday about the BBC bosses, Director General Tim Davie and News CEO Deborah Turness, being forced to resign due to their organization doctoring a clip of President Donald Trump on January 6, 2021.
So how did Politico cover this scandal? By treading lightly on the details while emphasizing that "the latest crisis marks a significant escalation in attacks on the BBC from the right."
In addition, strongly implied that the Trump administration's reaction to the BBC scandal displayed unseemly hubris as you can see in the title of their Sunday story by Matt Honeycombe-Foster, "Trump gloats as BBC boss quits over coverage ‘mistakes’."

They are trying to invert who are the victims and who are the criminals...
They’re not “mistakes” if they always help democrats. If they were mistakes, they would randomly help either side with equal probability.
Although I cannot say that I know Trump personally, as I’ve never owed him money. I can say, from what I know of him, that when he’s commented on any BBC story regarding him, he’s expressing disgust at their slander and misrepresentations.
“Splicing” and rearranging verbiage to suit one’s political agenda is not a mistake.
I thought he “pounced”. Now I hear he “gloats”

So the Goebbels-level corruption of journalism doesn’t bother them at all.
They mocked him for years as the term he coined took off like a rocket and then ,as time goes by ,he is proven correct to the tune of millions and millions of dollar settlements from Fake News™️ outlets.
Its hilarious. And the fake news media tries to ignore his vindication by twisting their content into sorry looking pretzels.
He won- he can gloat all he likes.
Pollutico and the Beeb never fail to slant and fabricate.
They’re just jealous because they’re always so wrong they never get to say, “See, I told you so”.....
Back in 2016, in the run up to the election I was in Italy doing a tour of Pompeii and our tour guide used the phrase “fake news”…it was an international hit from the get go because everyone knows it, though some will not admit it.
Britain does not have the “actual malice” exclusion for “public figures”. All he need to show is that they deliberally or recklessly libeled him. In the U.S., the actual malice rule for “public figures” would require him to show that the libel was deliberate or reckless. In this case it was both, but apparently the Beeb believe that they are immune from the law.
This piece pretty well describes the actions of the BBC.

Republicans pounce...
There’s more:
Civil jury trials in England were “temporarily suspended” in WW I [no male jurors since they were all in France], so the case would be tried by a judge, not a jury.
Add to that that judges are chosen by the Queen/King from England’s only 3,000 barristers.
The result is that tort law is flipped on its ear there.
In the US tort law is the legal remedy generally of the poor, the disadvantaged, but in England where there are no contingent fees, tort law is the for the rich—who have more economic consequence for damage to their reputations, and it is generally tried before their peer judges.
Deliberately crafting a lie is not a mistake. It’s deliberately crafting a lie.
Exactly. These people are so vile.
The STORY IS: BBC lied, people had to resign because they lied.
Politico: “Trump gloats.”
