Old Barack Obama implicitly endorses the new young Barack Obama

Zohran Mamdani is going to take the New York City mayoralty tomorrow. He will do so by being a TikTok star- a social media celebrity. He is going to take the crown without the endorsements of a lot of New York politicians, including:

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) New York State Democratic Party Chair Jay Jacobs Queens Democratic Party (led by Rep. Gregory Meeks) Rep. Laura Gillen (D-NY) Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-NY) Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY)

But to many, he will appear to have a gotten an implicit endorsement from Barack Obama.

Obama put in a call to Mamdani. The publicly stated purpose was encouragement, praise, and an offer of post-election mentorship. It was seen by democrats as a sign of support. And it was, in a backhanded kind of way. He told Mamdani “Your campaign has been impressive to watch.” He also offered himself as a “sounding board.”

Obama wants to exert some level of control of Mamdani and use Mamdani as a proxy in Obama’s continued war against the US. On November 4, 2008, Barack Obama literally told the world: “Join me in five days as we transform the country.”

Mamdani is the current embodiment of that movement- one of transforming the US into a totally socialist state. Obama sees himself in Mamdani yet Obama stopped short of endorsing Mamdani, claiming he doesn’t endorse local races:

Mamdani campaign adviser Patrick Gaspard, who served as director of White House Office of Political Affairs and US Ambassador to South Africa under Obama, futilely tried to downplay the former president’s lack of endorsement as one of the race’s latest polls showed Mamdani foe Andrew Cuomo closing in. “President Obama doesn’t endorse in local races. That’s a longstanding rule post-presidency,” Gaspard claimed to The Post. “He endorses in general election races for federal office and governors. His call to Zohran is a huge boost at a critical moment and a signal to New Yorkers.”
Which is a lie, of course.
In fact, the 44th president has endorsed numerous candidates for mayor over the years, including the unpopular de Blasio. Other mayoral candidates endorsed by Obama also included beleaguered Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, as well as her predecessor Eric Garcetti, and former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel, who later served as Obama’s White House Chief of Staff. The former prez has even waded into mayoral contests in smaller cities, endorsing Rick Kriseman for mayor of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Caroline Simmons for mayor of Stamford, Conn.
Barack Obama is not a fool. He is keeping his distance from Mamdani because he knows, as I have said here repeatedly, Mamdani cannot make good on his promises, and they are numerous:

My thought was: Electing Mamdani is "jumping the shark" for NYC and the Dems. Wealthy taxpayers will flee. Crime and graft will explode. Services will cease as the city's coffers run dry. And who will Mamdani beg to for aid?

Next thought: All this will happen, but who will report it?

A economic downturn is part of the plan They will not let a crisis go to waste. Republicans will get the blame for everything the collective has destroyed.
