Idk and as a party activist I have done a lot of get out the vote work.

One might understand in San Francisco- one feels as though our vote does not count - but it does of course.

I have no answers. I’ve always heard Democrats had lower turnout in off year elections.

Get out the vote drives are important. Do Republicans not do get out the vote drives in off years? Do Republicans not try to do voter registration in off years?

It will be even worse without Trump on the ballot next year.

I’m in Bucks county PA and Scott Pressler has been getting Republicans to vote by mail. I don’t know the exact percentage but it’s way up.

It varies by location.

If you live in an area where the Republican organization is weak that would explain it.

I would say that the issues/candidates tend to be less significant, and Republicans have to work.

In my own case, I live in a formerly red city in the blue part of Ohio. All candidates on this ballot are Dem, running unopposed. I’m retired, so I’m still going to vote so I can vote no on every single tax initiative.

How is it a red county if Republicans never show up off year?

In Georgia, the only election is for two Public Service Commission seats. Yes. I’m going to vote. Most people will not. Consumers do not realize how important those elections are for our future.

I think one factor is that to the Godless Democrats, politics is their religion. Everybody needs a religion so to speak. For the Godless left it’s politics, climate, social justice, whatever gives them purpose.

For the conservative , who work and actually have productive lives outside of politics.....to their detriment, mid terms and other elections are less important.

They shouldn’t be..

Well, that’s how I see it. Godless Activists vote whenever they can. And protest, and riot and yell and scream...it’s their religion. Because they don’t have the true religion...the Love of God in Jesus Christ.

I have observed this too.
As Republicans are getting more Trump and populist, there are lots of people who vote for Trump, but do not bother when he is not on the ballot.
While the teachers union send their voters every time.
The Democratic socialists are even more disciplined, sorry to say.
In the old times, Republican voters were more disciplined and ready to vote every time, so odd elections preferred Republicans.
Now the Dems are having more success in odd elections.
We need to do more work, to convince these votes, that voting matters, even if no Trump is on the ballot!!!

I suspect it is because in off-year elections, the old dominant media and deep state have maintained a level of dominance.

That dominance should be diminishing.

Your last sentence says a lot.

Trump will never be on the ballot again.

So we need to convince people to vote for other Republicans.

I do know that Scott Pressler is in New Jersey right now trying to get out every Republican voter for the gov’rs position. Turning Point has started making a big change in getting out the vote.
