I will vote for Vance at the top of the ticket in 2028 - I look forward to doing so. I’d do so even if Rubio was his VP pick. But I will not vote for Rubio at the top of the ticket. He’s making the right noises now, but I remember what he’s said in the past.

No you wouldn’t

I agree - and I'm aware of the argument to the contrary. Just don't think SCOTUS would buy it. Maybe Gorsuch as a pure textualist. But could be 9-0.

Trump Says These 2 Officials Would Make an “Unstoppable” [???] Presidential Ticket

Respectfully to PDJT47, when he makes such statements, it’s questionable if he understands that one of the very few MAIN peacetime powers that the states have actually given to the feds to dictate peacetime domestic policy is to deliver the mail, most federal policy these days based on stolen state powers imo.

Is Trump possibly unaware of the federal government’s constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers?

On the other hand, the following thread suggests major political changes are in sight.

President Trump On 2020 Election Fraud: “We Now Know Everything!”

Contrary to Trump’s “unstoppable,” probably most qualified citizen voters would lose interest in what’s going on in DC if the ill-conceived 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular vote for federal senators) Amendments were repealed imo.

Only the neocons would vote for a ticket with Rubio on it. It wouldn’t be either MAGA or America first. Vance just came in out of nowhere with financial support from Peter Thiel and Palantir who wants to install a complete surveillance system on Americans. So no I’m not confident with these 2 running. The only way we win is if the Dems run another clown like Kamala.

I respect your views, and do not want to argue with you, but in fact people DO change.

There have been many on the left side who have proved to be TOP LEADERS now on the right.

Tulsi Gabbard, Leo Terrell, Even Fetterman is leaning right these days...

Rubio was always loved and admired by Rush Limbaugh.

Republicans will only win if they run someone who can come off as a populist like Trump. DeSantis is more a conventional conservative and wouldn’t win in the general.

Let's see what Rubio continues to say - the thing is, all I've heard him speak on is foreign policy. What matters far more to me is domestic policy - has Rubio given up his amnesty ideas, how does he feel now about birthright citizenship, does he endorse manned fencing along both borders?

Sure, people can change, but people can also tell us what they think we want to hear and then turn their backs on us once they get into office, a la George W.

You bring us some very valid points. All of which I agree are very important.

As my dear father told us children years ago... ( I'm soon to be 84)... " Time will tell the story"!
