Several years ago, I had a neibor/friend who was part Indian and he drove me around a couple of reservations to show me how awful life was for the Indians. Actually it was for some of them, but definitely not all. His relatives had a gorgeous home in a lovely neighborhood where many residents were AmerInds.
Kids in the tribe were given, as I recall, $15,000 when they turned 18. Probably more now, Most bought tpickups and drank themselvsinto oblivion with the $$. Some did their best and had fairly OK lives on or off the “Rez”. And a few did very well indeed. One gorgeous woman he knew was a university professor of NativeAamerican Studies. Probably other unis have these classes if located in places that have Amerind populations.
But robbing Anglos is totally wrong and I hope this idiot judgement is appealed.
