WTF? I just got a “Real ID” from the state of Washington so I can get on a plane and vote and varioius other things. Requires proof of birth in the USA so I got my birth certificate from Pennsylvania. No big deal. Maybe need a new one to vote. Will ask my rep in congress. New and OK Republican.

look to the "fee" to be attached to having a digital ID. This is about the same old things -- control and money.
Passports work just fine. When passports are no longer expected, watch the mayhem geopolitically.
