Yet some Freepers still promote it as true
Collusion is not a crime. But RICO sure is.
Mueller knew it was a fraud on the very first day. Milked it for a few years. Made Cankles’ lawyers wealthy. They really should give back that loot.
The absurd ‘Russiagate’ Pulitzer awards to the NY Times and Washington Post

Trump claims win as Florida court rejects Pulitzer Board bid to pause defamation case
“For deeply sourced, relentlessly reported coverage in the public interest,” the citation from the Pulitzer Prize board begins, “that dramatically furthered the nation’s understanding of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and its connections to the Trump campaign, the president-elect’s transition team and his eventual administration.”
Except the journalism that the Pulitzers honored — a 2018 National Reporting prize shared by the Washington Post and the New York Times for reporting on Russiagate — did no such thing.
It led to a dramatic misunderstanding, suggesting that Donald Trump colluded with Vladimir Putin to help sway the 2016 election — a grand conspiracy that we now know never existed.
Oh, it was “deeply sourced,” in that deep-state Democratic bureaucrats, furious that Trump had won the White House, were falling over themselves to talk anonymously to reporters.
And it was “relentlessly reported,” or at least just relentless, as the newspapers were obsessed with taking down the Trump administration.
Yet reading these pieces four years later, one is struck not only by how irrelevant they are, but how shlocky — tinged with a McCarthyist alarmism of a red under every bed. Two major newspapers that hold themselves up as the pinnacle of press freedom, the “truth dies in darkness” brigade and all that, pushed a conspiracy theory.
As a lesson in mass delusion, it’s worth going through the 20 stories that make up the Post and the Times’ award-winning series to show just how damaging they were: to the truth, to the newspapers’ reputations — and to America itself.

And they will do it again gladly.
“Yet some Freepers still promote it as true”
I was just gonna say.
Send every one of these bstds, who took part in this treasonous effort to overthrow the government,to GITMO.
Maybe no one paid attention at the time. But 99% of the “proof and evidence” against Trump during the impeachment trials came from hearsay “opinion” pieces in the media.
They should not have even been inadmissible. Without them they would have had nothing worth even talking about.
And they will do it again gladly.
*******
They’re already doing it again—— trying to suck us into the Ukraine war by making a fake enemy out of Russia.
Arrest all the media CEOs whose companies have been involved. They are legally liable in the criminal sense.

Amen.

We have a country of 350 million people many of whom still believe that Trump colluded with Russia and you have to call out imaginary FReepers.
There needs to be an AI-generated video of Cankles and Putin in a bubble bath while, ”Love is in the Air” plays.
The old sow has always been tone-deaf. Imagining that ‘Rats are patriots and Republicans are on the side of Russia was always absurd.
And many Democrats, which says something right there.
Maybe Trump has another lawsuit opporitunity for $30,000,000,000 more money he hardly needs. Ain’t America grand? Go get’um Mr President. Que the white horse.
Good stuff with lots of detail. It’ll take me a while to digest all of it.
But Trump wasn’t colluding with Russia, Hillary was, and everyone should admit it. And they definitely aren’t imaginary.
And it is important to keep in mind that the collaboration between the weaponized Deep State and a willing and compliant Media is not limited to leaked articles.
The best example of this (not mentioned in the excellent linked article) is the role of the execrable and criminal Ellen Nakashima (the same Ellen Nakashima mentioned in the article that this thread discusses) who wrote the article published in the Washington Post on 1/23/2017 (See LINK: The Hill Article: "FBI found no wrongdoing in Flynn’s calls with Russia: report")
An FBI review of communications between Russia’s ambassador to the U.S. and President Trump’s national security adviser did not produce any incriminating evidence, The Washington Post reported Monday night.
The revelation comes one day after the The Wall Street Journal reported that Michael Flynn’s communications with Russian officials had been investigated by U.S. counterintelligence agents. The FBI review focused on calls Flynn made to Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak on Dec. 29, the same day the Obama administration imposed fresh sanctions on Russia over what U.S. intelligence says was its hacking of Democratic organizations and individuals with the intention of helping Donald Trump win the presidential election.
According to the Post, the calls in question were obtained by the FBI as part of routine surveillance of Russian officials in the U.S., and the review was conducted in late December. Flynn is not the target of an investigation, the Post reported..."
This isn't just publishing a leaked article. This is a deeper form of collaboration, and one I find far more sinister and destructive than merely printing a leaked article.
This article by Nakashima was published to serve a particular purpose: To set up General Michael Flynn for an interview with the FBI the next day. It was meant to put him at ease, and induce him to speak more freely and openly.
It was meant specifically to send the message to General Flynn that he was not under investigation, and was not suspected of any wrongdoing in his call with the Russian Ambassador Kislyak.
They knew full well Flynn would read the article, and be more vulnerable to the trap they were laying on him with the visit the VERY NEXT DAY of FBI agents Strzok and Pietka.
This fully shows that huge sections of the media are not only an avenue to print leaked data that the Left wanted to use to influence public opinion, but to weaponize against the victims by "shaping the battlefield" in this fashion, sending messages (in this case, a false one) to those victims as a form of deliberate misinformation to achieve a political goal.
