Trump’s UK visit nearly took a dramatic turn when his helicopter, carrying him and Melania, made an emergency landing after a hydraulic issue. Diverted to Luton, the Trumps switched choppers before boarding Air Force One back to the U.S. The White House called it “minor,” but the symbolism is striking: the world’s most powerful man, forced down mid-flight. I had a crew chief on CH-47 tell us once when a guy pointed out there was hydraulic fluid leaking, he said “if it stops leaking let me know that is when it is bad”...

“Forced down” sounds to me like hostile outside forces “forced it down” rather than just landing because of malfunctioning gear.

It’s fine to post a day-old story, but you might want to put [update on yesterday’s story] after the headline so folks will know it’s a repost or update of the prior story that was posted and discussed at length, and that the President’s helicopter wasn’t “forced” down yet again.
