I think the outcome is worse for the COVID vax.
My family has demanded I receive the latest COVID vax before I visit. I am not taking a further shot ever again.
I told them I am willing to take a COVID test every morning before I come over. If that is not acceptable, let me know now b/c I’m canceling my trip.
So far they have agreed to the testing. I have 8 boxes of tests.

We have some spare boxes of tests. Only because we paid for them with taxes. It may be harder for some folks to say but, if no vax means you don’t want me around, I can deal with that.

To evaluate any study you must consider the design of the study and confounding factors. One factor might be the relative intelligence of the parents of children who do not get vaccinated. The reason for not having their children vaccinated could be that the parents were too busy or uninterested in providing medical care for their children. They might also be uninterested in reading to their children or providing educational support for their children. They might have a more limited vocabulary and lower ability to understand instructional material. They might be unable to provide the environment conducive to intellectual development. To analyze this, the study should measure the educational attainment of the parents, simply ask them if they are high school, college, graduate, etc. All these factors could cause a “developmental delay”. That’s why those who are against vaccines focus on ambiguous conditions like “autism” which they claim are caused by “vaccines”. What is a “developmental delay”? Development of what? Ability to speak, to read? Also, if “vaccines” are causing something, it would be helpful if there were some physical mechanism identified. There are 30+ vaccines being given, which is the one that causes “autism”? Do they ALL cause autism? Or only some of them? What is the mechanism by which the vaccine causes autism? conveniently, we cannot study the developmental delay of rats in a cage, they never “develop”, they are all autistic, they are rats. So the vaccine/autism argument cannot be disproven or proven. IMHO there are come vaccines that are stupid, like HPV, which is a rash with no possible long term serious negative consequences. The vaccine safety for this should be 100 percent, no one should ever die from a vaccine that is supposed to prevent you from getting a rash. Other vaccines are designed to prevent ridiculous invented conditions that affect only 1 in 100,000 people, so the safety must be 100 percent. But why lump mumps, tetanus, rubella, measles together with a rash? probably 10 vaccines is the right amount, and the rest are just to make big money for big pharma.
I have “free” ones sent to me by my health care provider. They now cost $11/box from the same source.
I am willing to pay for them to avoid taking the vax. If it means I cannot see my new granddaughter, so be it.

My advantage in dealing with my relatives on this topic is that I was known to be anti-vaxx for decades.
My views on this topic were non negotiable—so if they wanted to cut me off they had the chance many years ago...
