Interested in Becoming an Expert on the Truth Behind ‘Genocide’ Claims? It's Almost Free.

You can leverage it to push back against the distortion of the term, especially as it’s been hijacked by the politicized narrative of ‘Palestinization.’

The “Genocide” Accusation Against Israel Crumbles Under Scrutiny of Genocide Scholars Group.

The recent International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS) resolution accusing Israel of committing “genocide” in Gaza has rapidly unraveled, exposing both the political motivations behind the accusation and the organization's lack of academic rigor. What was initially presented as a serious, scholarly condemnation has turned into an embarrassing farce, demonstrating that the IAGS has become more of a political tool than a serious academic body.

At the core of the resolution lies a shocking absence of independent analysis. Rather than relying on original research or fact-based assessments, the IAGS has simply recycled reports from anti-Israel groups with questionable biases, such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch. These reports often fail to meet even basic scholarly standards and rely heavily on sources with a known history of hostility towards Israel. This alarming trend is highlighted by the IAGS's reliance on wire services and sources like Al Jazeera, which are widely known for their political agendas.

Despite the IAGS's claims to expertise in genocide studies, their resolution does not contain a single research paper or legal analysis that addresses Israel’s actions in Gaza with the depth and objectivity that would be expected from a reputable academic organization. In fact, a search of the IAGS's website reveals that the only paper discussing Gaza in relation to genocide is one by scholar Sara E. Brown, who condemns Hamas for its genocidal violence in the attacks of October 7, 2023. Yet, curiously, the IAGS chose not to publicly endorse or even acknowledge this paper, highlighting a troubling double standard. At the bottom of Brown's paper, the IAGS makes clear that the views expressed are not representative of the organization itself, further distancing itself from any serious critique of Hamas.

This is part of a broader pattern within the academic and political establishment: the term “genocide,” once reserved for events as severe as the Holocaust, is increasingly being weaponized in modern conflicts. What we are witnessing is the gradual erosion of the term's meaning, as it’s applied to situations where the legal threshold for genocide has not been met. This growing trend seems motivated not by a desire to uphold legal definitions but by a need to keep certain political narratives alive, whether or not they align with reality. The result is that "genocide" is at risk of becoming little more than a rhetorical weapon, stripped of its historical and legal weight.

The IAGS’s resolution, in fact, exemplifies a classic case of Pallyweid, the propaganda technique that bombards the public with buzzwords until they become a default truth. Just like this organization, the IAGS declares that Israel is committing genocide not because of objective evidence or scholarly rigor, but because “others say so.” This mindset is reminiscent of the "apartheid" slur that has been weaponized since October 1961 by figures like Ahmad Shukeiri, who, after justifying the Holocaust in 1946, proudly declared in his 1969 book that the Arab Palestine celebrated Hitler during World War II. Now, the “genocide” accusation has been introduced by propagandists like Ilan Pappe, who has no qualms about distorting history for ideological purposes. Pappe's so-called “scholarship” has been discredited by serious historians like Benny Morris, who exposed the distortions and misrepresentations in his work (see The New Republic, March 17, 2010).

Further propagandist figures like Francesca Albanese — often dubbed the 21st century's "Goebbels" for her inflammatory falsehood based rhetoric — have only exacerbated the problem. Despite her long history of anti-Semitic statements and her radical agenda, she was hired by the UN in 2022. The UN and its affiliated organizations, already under the sway of the gigantic Islamic lobby (OIC), have increasingly become radicalized in their stance against Israel. The global narrative is no longer shaped by objective analysis but by ideologically motivated agendas that dismiss factual evidence in favor of rhetoric.

How the Propaganda Works:

The strategy begins by laying the groundwork with emotionally charged buzzwords like "apartheid" or "genocide." These terms are carefully chosen for their deep emotional resonance and historical weight, ensuring that they immediately evoke strong reactions. The next step is to recruit politically motivated individuals, often with a clear ideological agenda, who can amplify the message. These personalities and activists then deploy sensational imagery—whether through staged photos, misleading media portrayals, or graphic images of suffering that may not even be related to the true causes of the crisis, such as food shortages.

Once this emotional foundation is established, the goal is to normalize the buzzwords in public discourse. The target audience, now emotionally primed by distressing images and inflammatory rhetoric, will often adopt the terminology, unwittingly perpetuating the narrative. Occasionally, figures like Omer Bartov, who have been involved in similar campaigns in the past, will attempt to lend an "academic" veneer to the rhetoric, seeking to provide scholarly support for their already pre-determined conclusions. This academic backing, however, often lacks nuance and fails to address the complexities of the situation, serving only to reinforce a politicized and skewed perspective.

In this manner, the propaganda machine effectively manipulates emotions, distorts facts, and cultivates a narrative that can be easily weaponized in the court of public opinion, regardless of the underlying realities on the ground.

IAGS - classic. Perhaps most damning is the exposure of the IAGS's lax membership policies. With just a $30 fee, anyone can join the organization — leading to embarrassing incidents where activists signed up under absurd pseudonyms, including “Adolf Hitler” and "Emperor Palpatine," to demonstrate the organization's utter lack of scholarly standards. If such an organization, with no proper vetting process or academic rigor, is issuing resolutions accusing Israel of genocide, the credibility of the entire accusation falls apart under scrutiny.

In fact, the real genocide in this conflict is not being perpetrated by Israel, but by the terrorist regime in Gaza. Hamas, with its openly genocidal rhetoric, continues to incite violence and terror with the ultimate goal of wiping Israel off the map. This is a group that not only targets civilians but also uses its own people as human shields, cynically manipulating international sympathy to further its genocidal agenda. Israel, on the other hand, is engaged in a legitimate and necessary defense against this existential threat, striving to protect its citizens from a regime that has shown, time and again, a complete disregard for human life.

The IAGS's resolution does nothing to address the root cause of the violence: Hamas’s stated intent to destroy the Jewish state. Instead, it deflects attention from this reality by misapplying the term “genocide” to Israel’s defensive actions. This distortion of the term undermines the very concept of genocide and allows political agendas to overshadow genuine academic inquiry.

In reality, Israel is fighting a terror group that seeks not only to kill Israelis but to wipe out the entire Jewish population. This is the true genocidal threat, not Israel’s defensive actions, which are rooted in self-preservation and the protection of innocent civilians. The politicization of genocide accusations only serves to obscure the truth and divert focus away from the urgent need to defeat terrorism and secure peace for all.

Debunking the Genocide Allegations: A Reexamination of the Israel-Hamas War (October 7, 2023 – June 1, 2025)

A recent study, Debunking the Genocide Allegations by Prof. Danny Orbach, Dr. Jonathan Boxman, Dr. Yagil Henkin, and Adv. Jonathan Braverman, offers a thorough historical exploration and a quantitative-statistical analysis of the allegation that Israel committed genocide against the Gazan population following the October 7, 2023 massacre. The authors challenge several key accusations:

*Intentional Starvation[sic] of Gaza’s civilian population *Deliberate Massacre[sic] by IDF ground forces *Indiscriminate Bombings[sic by the Israeli Air Force (IAF)

The study evaluates testimonies, primary sources, and the methodologies of organizations promoting the genocide narrative. Their focus is on factual analysis to properly assess the claims rather than engage in a legal or ethical discourse. The authors assert that manipulating data and advocacy-based analysis only hampers a genuine understanding of the conflict.

As the study reveals, Israel’s actions, particularly in urban warfare, must be viewed in the broader context of Hamas's use of human shields and its strategic aims to manipulate the conflict for political gain. The claim that Israel’s strikes violated the principles of distinction and proportionality is shown to be based on partial or misleading data, further undermining the genocide allegation.

$30 and You Can Become a Genocide Scholar.

A deeper look at the IAGS's membership policies raises significant concerns about its credibility. For as little as $30, anyone can join the “world’s leading experts” on genocide, despite a lack of academic qualifications. A detailed investigation by Salo Aizenberg of HonestReporting uncovered how the IAGS’s lax membership requirements allowed activists and non-experts to flood the organization. This exposed the resolution accusing Israel of genocide as the product of a non-representative vote, amplified by media outlets that uncritically embraced the claim.

This undermines the very integrity of the organization, showing that its declarations on genocide are not based on scholarly analysis but on a political agenda. Worse, when pro-Israel scholars joined to challenge the IAGS's claims, the organization shut down its membership page and removed its list of members from public view, further undermining its legitimacy.

Onur Uraz and the Politicization of Genocide Studies.

Further complicating the issue, Onur Uraz, Chair of the IAGS’s Resolutions Committee, has been found to align himself with state-run propaganda channels like CGTN Türk, the Turkish arm of China’s state-run media. Uraz has publicly supported anti-Israel narratives, raising major credibility issues about the neutrality of the IAGS. How can an organization tasked with defining genocide maintain its credibility when its leadership amplifies authoritarian propaganda, rather than upholding intellectual honesty? The politicization of genocide studies, when tainted by such figures, risks discrediting the entire field.

My instincts tell me that it’s not genocide when the “victims” are known terrorists. The IDF is only striking while the iron is hot, and it couldn’t have gotten much hotter than it did on 10/7. Collateral damage is within an acceptable margin of error.

So much about "Palestine" over these last decades has been Islamic propaganda.

As to the accusation of genocide, I accuse the IDF of being really, really inept at "genocide," because the toll in a conflict like this is about one percent of the population of Gaza. Over almost two years now.

( Hamas PR claim of 23K dead / estimated population of Gaza of 2 million ) = 0.0115. in as a percentage of the population, 1.15 percent. Over almost two years.

Additionally, based on simple biology, starvation is about a 1-2 month phenomenon, which, compared to this military action of 22 months suggests there should be few Gazan Muslims alive today,

Everything coming from the worldwide Left, as from Hamas and the PA, is "marketing" because those "fighters" are being killed in cautious IDF operations.

The real "genocide" was the National Socialist extermination of Jews in the millions, which sparked in part a flow of real refugees to a place of refuge from genocide.

It’s not genocide when the “victims” are intent to destroying an entire people and invade the “genocidal” country, killing women, raping, and putting babies in ovens.

Nor is it genocide when the invaded country responds to bring the perpetrators to justice and rescue hostages.

Nor when the action to get those perpetrators is carefully done to avoid unnecessary destruction and death at the expense of your own soldiers’ safety.

Nor when you supply ample water, food, electricity, medicines and everything else to to invading country and all issues are caused by the perpetrators who steal the water and food and use their fellow “victims” as human shields.

23,000 dead Gazans in 23 months of fighting, equivalent to about 1.1% of the population of Gaza. There have undoubtedly been more children born in Gaza during this time period than deaths inflicted by Israel. The same IDF that defanged Iran in 12 days must be incompetent.

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot - most of the Gazan dead were Hamas fighters, many of whom participated in the genocidal October 7 attack and in the ongoing keeping of Israeli civilian hostages.

--- "the rest of us have to teach the babies"

Presenting simple math using "official" information pops holes in the many arguments, but the emotional armor these "babies" wear includes resentment of Jews, historically.

One also observes that these "babies" don't know that "kill the Jew" and "break the Cross" are Islamic, and citing the actual references annoys those so ready to be annoyed.

The woke lie, the sososocilists lie, the communists lie, the fascists lie and the big daddy of liers is islam and of course moslems.

You all should know by now the moslems, they lie (Taqiyya - License to Lie.), they steal, they kill, they murder, they rape, they torture, they cannibalize, they can have sex with an animal (their favorite goat) but can't eat it but it's ok to sell it. No one wants to talk about the wholesale subjugation and basically enslavement of women under the bloody boot/sandal of islam. They are xenophobic and massively raciest. It's all in the islamic fatwas. Islamic law, (Sharia) or in the koran a blue print for murder, theft and conquest.

You should know, islam = Thuggery, Thug conduct, from a thugocracy.

This is a fake religion, a made up fascist pedophilia mafia like organization that was never was a real religion. With the koran as a user manual of lies, how to lie and techniques on how to subjugate others. Any one who reads the koran's, there are 20 versions or so will find the repugnant and hateful parts of islam.

Google knife attacks, (vehicle, truck, car attacks),* google bombings, google rape gangs, google hostages, google mass homicides, google fire bombing** and the overwhelming majority will have a moslem, or a palestinian involved as the perpetrator. We all know that islam is a death cult and criminal mafia like organization. ...do the searches and then you decide what a moslem is.
