Liberalism has destroyed many nations, because it lacks common-sense, and promotes insanity as being normal.

So yes, this is not surprising, except perhaps for the fact that this comic, who I understand is more liberal than conservative, had not realized that this would be the result.

He either thought his liberal views would provide him with a pass, or he hasn't been paying attention to the realities. A third possibility, might be that he was bringing attention to the problem, but that option seems like a stretch to me.

The really insidious thing about “hate speech” laws is how vague they are. What is perfectly okay to say one day could be a felony the next.

So many people will play it safe, and not say anything at all. Which is the goal of the government in the first place.
