I haven’t been there since well before they went woke.
Kumamoto is supposed to have legendary garlic pork bone Ramen..
The outrageous price of beef AND $20.00 an hour min. wage in CA. this price doesn’t surprise me at all!! This is precisely why IN & OUT a CA. home based company for DECADES pulled out of Ca. along with enormous work comp. rates, HUGE taxes, astronomical amount of law suits due to a culture of ambulance chaser attorneys everywhere I am surprised that there are ANY businesses left here ANYWHERE!!!
Yeah, normal BK’s don’t serve beer like that SFO BK...FR HQ area BK’s are at $13.59 for that Whopper combo....still horrible but not THAT horrible like the airport version.
Carl's Jr wasn't any better with a Famous Star last week. I could hardly find the meat. The prices are high, portions are skimpy. It's no longer reasonable to patronize these places...even in Idaho without the jacked up minimum wage.
After my Whipple procedure, my digestion is much less efficient. If I don't make 2000 calories with 100 grams of protein, I lose weight. 149.1 yesterday due to missing my calorie targets. I'll miss again today because of being short changed at Taco Bell.
I just saw your Taco Bell comment now after posting my own experience on the last two trips to Taco Bell. They are no longer delivering the product they claim on the menu.
Look at the first ramen on top left , Hinokuni and read . This company - Itsuki - is in our town . Famous all over Japan .

Ice cold BEER? At BK?
Price gouging? The QSR’s don’t set the minimum wage , beef prices or any other vendor prices, or utilities. Every time prices are increased there is a drop in the customer base and sales, operators have to try and hit a balance of making some profit or losing everything, they don’t gouge they simply try and survive.
Also every time the minimum goes up, everything tied to it goes up in price,so those employees lucky enough not to get terminated end up doing their job and that of the person let go. The other thing that the employee benefitting from the $20 minimum never thinks of is that they also pay higher prices and will get a rude awakening from the tax man.
It started at $0.37 in ‘57 then went up from there - same stuff but inflation
Now $15.09 plus tax in Wisconsin
“This kind of price gouging cannot be because of minimum wage.”
Have you ever run a restaurant?

Labor is oly 20 to 30% of the cost of fast food. So if labor were to double, the overal cost to the consumer would be a 15% increase. You can’t blame labor for this.
Do you know simple math?
In LA a car wash will cost you $30.00 to $50.00 for the delux job.
Illegals are now in fat city at McDonalds you get $15.00 to $20.00 an hour for placing a bag of fries in another bag.
Welcome to Hotel California
Yes. I do.
You’re apparently the math impaired person.
Labor costs are a major input to prices.
Look it up.
L
I looked it up. Labor accounts for 20 to 30% of the retail cost of fast food.
Okay. So you’ve increased the costs of 1/5 to 1/3 on the labor input. Now factor that all the way down the supply chain in California.
Then pile on the costs of the building, electricity, water, gas, garbage disposal, and taxes. Use California costs.
Then get back to me.
