For normal people marriage and family are happiness.

"Normal" never was. It's been a facade and it's crumbled away.

...and they're not "old coots", they're young women, and they're painfully aware that their parents, often single mothers, have done incredible damage to them.

These young women are not willing to subject their own children to the same abuse they faced.

These agenda items, disguised as "studies", are another attempt to gaslight these women. "Get over it. You'll be happier with a husband and kids." - yeah, until they aren't and then it all collapses. Meanwhile, they've already spread the damage to another generation.

And young women have been told repeatedly by evil old farts in the past 60 years that they should not even want to marry and have children.

The damage done by sick freaks like that is large but can be overcome. Happy normal family life is available if you want it.

I have found that men and women who remarry do so because they are easy to get along with. I married a woman who completes me. I also go on vacation every year with a lot of women who I dated and they did not. We are great friends but there is always a barrier that I do not cross. Men need women who are close friends but never lovers. Nothing good comes from adultery. It just renders you untrustworthy to everyone. But if a woman is your close friend, she will tell a man what he needs to hear.

Evil old farts? That's a fiction.

They were told when young by their Feminist mothers. They also told themselves, because they saw firsthand from their own upbringing that they didn't want to subject their own children to what they were subjected to.

These women should be lauded for calling it as it is, instead of putting their head in the sand and pretending everything was going to be okay.

The damage done by sick freaks like that is large but can be overcome.

If the "sick freaks" are your own parents, you'll not likely overcome it and still want to have children. Even if you did, by the time you've resolved what you were victimized with, you're likely to be too old to have children.

Happy normal family life is available if you want it.

All the wishful thinking in the world isn't going to overcome some damage. It could take a lifetime of hard work and may preclude any family related by blood or by law. They instead may have a "family" of friends and fellow victims.

That's a very simple excuse and flies in the face of what so many victims were exposed to. They don't necessarily hate normal people, but do resent those who deny what they've gone through. It may make you feel comfortable to blame them because you can't accept the horrors they've been exposed to but that's your issue. Don't add to theirs by gaslighting them.

Thanks!! I was lucky, that I learned from my mistakes, and also that I had good parents who taught me common sense. So many women get into a bad cycle, have a poor self image, and think they don't deserve any better.

One time before we divorced, when we were at the marriage counselors, I'd discovered my husband had lied once again, and hadn't stopped seeing his girlfriend. I asked him in front of the counselor how many chances he thought he was going to get. He was snarky enough to say: "As many as you're willing to give." Right then and there, I realized that people will only do to you, what you let them get away with. It wasn't long after that I filed for divorce, and I never looked back.
