How did a company like this find work with a high end customer?
Workmen that work on homes for the super rich have to realize the environment they are in, a scratch in the elevator, or on a gold plated faucet, or tossing a piece of metal into a $1000 bathroom trash can that chips it, are ruining mistakes, did the truck these guys arrived in drip oil on the driveway?

The fact that they would even bring marble that is cracked shows the company is no good. A few yrs back my mom remodeled the kitchen, put Mont Blanc Quartzite stone, very nice but the guy who did it for whatever reason wrote “Polish here” on one side of it, its still here til this day, my mom didnt notice it otherwise she would have told him what the hell

I am fine with Trump’s action on this. He is all about results, and government workers generally dislike accountability.
If I do my job in a crappy manner, I will not be upset if my CUSTOMER is angry about it and demands accountability.

In all fairness to the contractor, he should have had the opportunity to correct the mistake, quietly. If he did not make it right, that would be the time for publicity.
Trump does not always have the best, or fairest business practices.
Why? We need to call out stupid and make it have consequences. That is the only way we can come close to preventing it. No fault, no foul, everybody gets a trophy is what got us to this don’t care, screw-up mess of people we have.
