President Trump on Monday evening fired Biden-appointed Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook amid mortgage fraud allegations.

“Pursuant to my authority under Article II of the Constitution of the United States and the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, as amended, you are hereby removed from your position on the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, effective immediately,” President Trump wrote in a letter to Lisa Cook.

“I have determined that there is sufficient cause to remove you from your position,” Trump added as he cited housing regulator Bill Pulte’s criminal referral on Lisa Cook for mortgage fraud – specifically occupancy fraud.

Plenty of difference if you know American History. Not much if you don’t.

For instance, “woman of color” a recent construct by the left, doesn’t necessarily denote a Black or Negro woman. It could mean an Indian (from India), a Mexican, or a Puerto Rican, etc.

“Colored woman” was a term of disparagement used by Whites when identifying Negroes in the U.S., probably originating in the Southern states during slavery.

You don’t get to decide who can use words, Fury.

Maybe you are really triggered by those 2 words AND the fact that the NAACP might make race an issue in something you think shouldn’t have race as an issue (and the poster above predicts that race will be an issue against Trump)

We’ll see if they are right.

Does the National Association for the Advancement of Colored Persons take the poster’s bait and accuse Trump of racism or will it be other groups.

Or will they all speak out in favor of President Trump and his questioning the content of her character?

/s

>> The term is now considered obsolete and offensive in modern English.

So “person of color” and “colored person” are considered obsolete and offensive in modern English?

POC is an acceptable term but to me, it feels too "woke".

Black people/African Americans sounds better.

Look upthread about the NAACP and their use of the word colored.

--- "The term is now considered obsolete and offensive in modern English. It was widely used in the 19th and early 20th centuries in the U.S. to refer to African Americans, but it carries the weight of segregation and discrimination."

You've not been reading news and opinion about POC and BIPOC?

Nothing carries the "weight of segregation and discrimination," except segregation and discrimination.

But as to "colored:"

People of Color Community Coalition

"People of Color' are protesting. Here's what you need to know about this new identity. Washington Post, Jul 2, 2020

Assuming you mark a census asking "race" identification in a certain way -- which I cannot know -- here is an article by a POC suggesting that other people of the color white -- yup, a color identity today -- need to read some things. Enjoy.
Dahleen Glanton: Why is ‘people of color’ OK but not ‘colored people’? A reading list for white folks Chicago Tribune, 24 June 2024
I don't know your "color" -- a concept VERY much in use in modern media today -- and you don't know my "color," I just imagine you trying very hard to be colorless.

As to the Dahleen Glanton text, her "do the work" is quite the same as the old Marxist "struggle sessions." You can Wiki that and find its "color" isn't black or white....

Where’s the list you promised that would include all these stellar black women? Why do you throw out empty promises to try to bolster your fake ‘fury’? LOL you’re a loser, dude.

If it’s such a heinous slur, please explain why not “N.A.A.P.O.C”. Something is out of kilter... methinks what’s out of kilter is basically the Race Grievance Industry’s massive honkin’ shoulder-chips that they just... can’t... shed.

POC is fine. (I don't use that term though, my personal preference)

Other term is not and is considered a slur because it was widely used during the Jim Crow segregation era in the U.S.

Good to know that!

Let me tell you what pronouns* ...er, sorry, racial labels are acceptable to *me*:

Anything. White, cracker, cracka, honky, paleface I really don’t care. If you’re a friend and you’re teasing me, I’ll laugh. If you’re a stranger, you’ve gotten my attention and I may be on guard — but not offended because of the word.

Why is that, do you think? Is it (GOD forbid!) my White Privilege?

*and the racist obsession with exactly what label is used to describe a race really DOES resemble the idiocy of the alphabet people and their damned pronouns. I think the Alphabet People got hold of the concept from the Racially Obsessed... Gramscian Marxists that they all are.

Thanks for your view. Since I don't know your racial identity as the US Census looks to establish, I'll just tell you about some women who don't hold to your "grammar rules" and "definitions." Please note that this group is contemporary, though it has a long and proud history.

We needn't got to citing or even linking to the rap lyrics using the so-called n-word, but they are all over the place. Not my personal preference in language nor music, but language is language. People say stuff. And people argue about --

Language police serve political views. One should be cautious in applying Marxist and Leftist and "woke" "rules" for they tend to cut both ways.

Or Denise Williams is a racist. I wager she is not. One the other hand, I wager that Dahleen Glanton is most definitely a racist and a Leftist. It's their game.

That organization was established in 1896. They kept their name because of the historical significance and symbolic value even though otherwise the term is outdated.

She is a big girl. Can make her own decisions. From what I have read she is more closely aligned with Colin Powell. I recall she supported banning the word bossy because it was sexist.

Good grief, go to Stormfront if you can’t control yourself.

From Wikipedia: She is the first black woman and first nonwhite person to sit on the Board.

Doesn't "nonwhite" imply color?
