President Trump on Monday evening fired Biden-appointed Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook amid mortgage fraud allegations.
“Pursuant to my authority under Article II of the Constitution of the United States and the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, as amended, you are hereby removed from your position on the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, effective immediately,” President Trump wrote in a letter to Lisa Cook.
“I have determined that there is sufficient cause to remove you from your position,” Trump added as he cited housing regulator Bill Pulte’s criminal referral on Lisa Cook for mortgage fraud – specifically occupancy fraud.

The President’s power to fire a Fed Governor is limited and would likely face legal challenges.
12 USC 242 states that a Fed Governor “shall hold office for a term of fourteen years… unless sooner removed for cause by the President.”
There will probably be a legal challenge on the "for cause" element. An alleged crime for which the FED Governor has not been charged, tried or convicted would be argued as not meeting the requirements of the "for cause" element.
"Cause" could be inefficiency, neglect of duty, or malfeasance in office; but mortgage fraud would not seem directly related to the office, or the terms and conditions of employment.
There would also likely be a complaint for violation of due process rights, such as notification and a right to respond.
(These colored gals do it to themselves. No one forced her to falsify her mortgage applications.)
