The U.S. risks losing its air superiority by 2030 if it fails to build its next-generation aircraft in sufficient numbers. For a “strategic restraint” approach, where the new F-47 fighter and B-21 bomber are not for global policing but for credibly deterring great-power war in the Atlantic and Pacific. To achieve this, the U.S. needs a minimum of 200-300 F-47s and at least 145 B-21s. These numbers are essential to absorb combat losses, reassure allies, and deter adversaries like China and Russia.

Trump would like to have a no-fly zone over Ukraine apparently.

Sources please? …..He never stated that.
How about this? Let’s charge $.25 for every ad that is placed in news papers, TV, internet site, and smart phone. I’ll bet we will have enough money to build the first F-47 Fighter and B-21 Raider in a month.
Or maybe ads stopped being placed so you don’t. Things are dynamic, not static.
Its hard to say. When youre in government there is no end to other peoples money.
In the late 80s the base I was stationed at was entirely redone to dump the 52s and bring in the B-2. Not just the airfield, just about everything was refurbished, rebuilt, and expanded except for base housing.
A couple of years later I PCS’ed and right after they instead sold half the base cheap building by building to civilian companies and the other half is still sitting there open to the public and rotting in asbestos hell.
“Unfortunately, we have no military advantage against an allied Russia and China. Best to ditch the whole idea. Concentrate on avoiding war, not making war.”
“The ONLY way to defend against our insane Neocons is to pull together as a united front with Russia, China, North Korea, and others against the West.”

Continued pushing China and Russia over USA.
This Pro-Russia shil is a pox on this site.
“My only worry is that Trump doesn’t seem to be too concerned about the deficit. “
ROTFLMAO!
None, since every war game scenario shows China winning every time. /S
Trump has done some amazing things. And of course we all know it’s Congress that over-spends like crazy. But Trump has not vetoed a single major spending bill. And every one of those bills explodes the deficit.
He has not drawn a line in the sand in this regard.
So unfortunately I must stand by my comments.
Last war thinking. This is like announcing a new battleship program.
“But Trump has not vetoed a single major spending bill.”
What major spending bills are you referring to?
The BBB is projected to have a multi-trillion dollar surplus over ten years.
The there are the tariffs.
And all the cuts by his made in the executive branch.
> What major spending bills are you referring to? <
All of them. They all have deficits built into them. As you noted, bills often project surpluses far into the future. But that’s a “maybe”. These bills, as written, are not balanced in their spending. More spending out than revenue in.
By the way, you are correct about the tariffs. It’s something I should have mentioned. Trump’s tariffs will reduce the deficit. Will that just embolden Congress to just spend more? Trump has got to rein those guys in.
And only a veto pen can do that.
“All of them. “
Name one.
“These bills, as written, are not balanced in their spending. More spending out than revenue in.”
The BBB bill will produce deficits if you believe the fake CBO accounting.
The last federal balanced budget was in 2001.
So the deficit is not the fault of any one particular president. The only constant here is a spendthrift Congress. And as I noted before, only a veto will get their attention.
Anyway, I’ll give you the last word on this. The weeds in my garden mock me. Every time a pull them out, more come back. So I’m off to go put down some mulch.
“So the deficit is not the fault of any one particular president. The only constant here is a spendthrift Congress. And as I noted before, only a veto will get their attention.”
You failed to mention any bills he should have vetoed.
As to the BBB, would you say he should have vetoed it?
Wasn’t it Stalin that said, “Quantity has a quality all its own”?
Drones? Good question
The role of not only drones, but many new electronics and AI and all kinds of things must be in the discussion mix.
What is the role of Bombers and Fighters. Do they support the drones? Or do the drones support them? or is it mutual?
It’s not quite that simple. I worked at Boeing on Chinook flight control software. That’s a development item.
It is time we showed the world the immense capability of our subs. The USA is sick and tired of the war business. It is time to end war by declaring the enemy is terminated if our lines are crossed.
I believe POTUS Trump will set us up on a path of debt repayment before he is done. Our tariff income alone will help considerably.
