If Trump gives zelenski one more penny that will be my first real break with any of his policies. That dumb son of a b**** had the nerve to show up and ask for another $90 billion dollars

Trump has indicated he will also bring in a business angle.

Both Ukraine and Russia sit on valuable rare earth deposits, many of them right along the front lines. If American companies and engineers are involved in developing those resources, it makes renewed fighting too costly. Any attack would not only hurt both countries financially but also endanger U.S. personnel, inviting consequences neither side wants. That kind of joint economic deal could give real teeth to a “60 percent solution.

Central Europe is more complicated than Asia.

It was the stage for two World Wars in less than a thirty year span.

And Uncle Sam had to twice cross the pond to help see an end to those war.

I guess it’s fair to invoke the Taiwan model since the US has some role in its survival.

But it’s really different as the Chinese play the long game.

They did with Hong Kong and it paid off and they are doing the same with Taiwan.

We GOT no bizness guaranteeing security in central Europe.

The supranational EU should have put security as its organizing principle, but it was dominated by the German bankers who put profits over security and expected NATO to handle security and Uncle Sam to be played the patsy by funding way more than its fair share.

We fought two wars and rebuilt a stable Western Europe.

We gave them everything we were able to give them EXCEPT that which has always made America great which is a SPIRIT OF INDEPENDENCE.

As far that Spirit goes, they don’t got it.

You will ONLY find such a spirit with a God-fearing people and there are very few of those residing in the EU.

There is no chance Russia is going to allow a NATO military presence in what is left of Ukraine.

Ukraine's constitution requires it to be neutral toward Russia and the Russians won't settle for anything less.
