Sadly, I'm not shocked by this. This "church" has hosted drag shows each June and said they would only hire a openly gay minister several years ago.
I guess by that logic Patrick Mahomes is three times as gay as Jesus.

They have left it sort of an open question ever since. Last time I dropped in at a UCC service, about thirty years ago, the preacher never mentioned Jesus throughout the whole sermon. He did talk about eating hotdogs at the Indians game the night before though, and made a wise crack about those people who get converted in “a shazam! moment.” That’s the UCC this dude preaches to.

Well, what’s left of them. I forgot the exact numbers, but since they’re founding, they’ve lost something like 50%, more or less, of their membership. And that was probably in 2019 or so I remember reading that. On paper, I’m still a member of a UCC Church and get the annual reports and newsletters. In the last two years, my congregation, and I use that loosely, has had a whopping two people join, but probably 10 to 12 die and seen their weekly attendance drop into the 40 to 50 range. The last time I actually attended regularly, back in probably 2012 or 13, when the pastor was actually really good, they probably had 150 to 175 on your average Sunday, excluding the summer one attendance, probably got down into the 70s
