The upcoming Trump-Putin summit in Alaska, aimed at securing a peace deal for Ukraine, is being framed as a dangerous strategic error. Legitimizing Russia’s territorial conquests would set a horrible precedent, repeating the mistakes of the 1939 Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact and potentially inspiring future Russian revanchist claims on Alaska itself. Any agreement is likely to be meaningless, as Putin has no genuine interest in a lasting peace.

What a load of crap. People are doing everything they can to keep this war going. Shame on them.
How about we offer Lisa Murkowski? She’s not busy doing anything helpful to the United States. But she would fit right in at the Kremlin.
Putin isn’t going to ask for Alaska! 🙄
POTUS Trump knows how poor Putin is right now. Maybe POTUS Trump can make the very same deal on some Russian RE that was made when we had to bail Russia out by purchasing Alaska.
Good lord, these ninnies are going insane trying to find strained analogous situations to declare that we are all about to die. Just utter garbage.
No thanks
I prefer loud rap, hip hop night and twerking contests on Carnival of The Seas…. the Section 8 of American cruise lines
Yep. We bought it in 1867 for $7.2M which is about $157M in 2025 dollars. Hard to believe.
Amen to that
“Any agreement is likely to be meaningless, as Putin has no genuine interest in a lasting peace.”
Putin, or Vlad the Invader as I like to call him, may or may not be interested in lasting peace. He certainly has invaded his neighbors more than 7 times during his tenure as ‘Chief Secretary’ or President (depending upon who you ask). All that doesn’t really matter, because you have to set peace and then prepare for conflict if you want to keep peace. Statements like the above are inflammatory, and don’t really go to ‘fixing’ anything. I just don’t care what Vlad’s long term goals are, because if Europe listens to Trump and prepares, as well as the United States, it doesn’t matter.
The United States and Europe need to face the reality that idiots in charge of two administrations caused the Ukraine crisis, and the ‘eagerness’ on the part of Vlad the Invader was because Europe was weak. That left the United States to commit to ‘war’ which would likely go nuclear quickly. Horrible position.
1. NATO allies need to prepare.
2. The Democrats have to stop laundering US taxpayer money via proxy nations like Ukraine.
3. The CIA and George Soros need a different type of relationship.
4. The Russians need to stop invading and trying to remake the Soviet Empire.
5. The deep state (Media and intelligence services) and the Democrats (least I repeat myself) need to be held on account for the Russian Collusion Conspiracy, Fake Impeachment, and provoking the Kremlin.
All of the above people who make statements like above, as well as ‘giving up Alaska’ are an impediment to peace. If they cared that much for Ukraine, they would be serving in the military there and not profiteering back home.
Globalist forever war tripe.
Are you publishing this garbage out of a concern that people know what garbage is going around, or do you actually subscribe to this utter horseshit, or is it that your brain is just as muddled as is this author?
This dude is definitely a robo poster. Never replies to anyone.
Wouldn’t be so bad if maybe he became a monthly donor, what with Freepathons taking over two months now.
So I looked up the value of an ounce of gold in 1867, it was like $28 dollars. That means 7.2 million in 1867 would have purchased 258,435 ounces of gold. That gold today, at 3407 per once would be worth about 881 million today.
Still a good deal for Alaska, IMHO.
no problem, he’ll probably demand just the parts that contain valuable natural resources ... oh, wait ....
Difficulty of American Rare Earth industry is the expensive infrastructure it takes to process the rare earths.
It takes a lot of chemical processing to break down the parts per million in rare earth processing. Not to mention power consumption of the whole thing.
So building that industrial plant we have to refurbish what was the industrial plant in the USA and see what needs to expand on all that.
If we’re headed to regional markets and global markets are getting closed off, than those parts will be invested in a lot more.
Also this article is complete fantasy as Russia wouldn’t be able to do anything with rare earths in Alaska at all. They barely have control over what territory that they do have.
From Rubin's own blog site, he studied biology and history. His "Pentagon official" means he had a short-lived functionary job more than 20 years ago, and since has been pursuing "other things."
A simple review of his FR posts show he promotes the blog almost daily.
Sell them ANWAR with the agreement that they have to sell us back ALL the oil that they pump out of the ground.
It would be fun just to hear all the enviromental wackos scream
