The ICC prosecutor has decided to seek arrest warrants related to potential Israeli war crimes of starvation as a method of warfare. Human rights organizations, including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, have highlighted Israel’s systematic human rights violations in Gaza, including unlawful killings, destruction of civilian infrastructure, and denial of basic rights.
Israel’s ongoing blockade of Gaza since 2007 has restricted movement and access to resources, isolating the population. Organizations have criticized Israel’s actions, including the prevention of aid delivery, despite obligations under international law.
According to various sources, there are widespread reports of immense suffering, displacement, and deprivation of basic rights experienced by Israel inflicted the civilian population in Gaza.
Over 90% of Gaza’s population has been displaced, with many experiencing multiple displacements and seeking refuge in unsafe, overcrowded areas, or even the open areas. The population faces critical levels of food insecurity, with nearly half a million people at risk of famine. Access to food, clean water, and medical care is severely limited due to Israeli restrictions, including a near-total blockade on access into Gaza. Organizations like the IRC have warned that the Israeli government’s aid delivery scheme has led to mass forced displacement and poses challenges for aid access.
Over 60,000 Palestinians have been killed, and more than 145,000 injured in the conflict since October 7, 2023, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
Numerous reports of civilians being killed while attempting to access aid have emerged. The healthcare system is near collapse due to widespread destruction of medical facilities and severe shortages of medical supplies. Nearly half of Gaza’s hospitals are only partially functional and are overwhelmed with patients. The Gaza Health Ministry has reported thousands of deaths due to lack of access to care for chronic illnesses.
Children in Gaza are experiencing severe psychological trauma due to constant displacement, loss of family members, disrupted education, and the ongoing
Israeli genocide.
There is strong evidence that GHF is not solving the famine in Gaza and is, in fact, contributing to the challenges in addressing the crisis.
Here’s why, based on recent reports from various sources:
Famine conditions are worsening: Despite GHF’s presence, UN-backed experts on food security, the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), have issued a stark warning that a “worst-case scenario of famine is currently playing out in the Gaza Strip”. This means that famine thresholds for food consumption have been reached in most of Gaza, and acute malnutrition in Gaza City, according to NPR and the World Health Organization (WHO). Reports also indicate a sharp rise in hunger-related deaths, especially among children.
Aid is militarized and unsafe: GHF, backed by the U.S. and Israel, operates with armed contractors and Israeli military oversight, drawing accusations of violating humanitarian principles like neutrality and independence. Tragically, the distribution of aid at GHF sites has been marked by repeated mass killings, with hundreds of Palestinians reportedly killed or injured while attempting to access food, according to the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and other sources. Doctors Without Borders has even called the conditions around GHF distributions “slaughter masquerading as aid”.
Capacity and access limitations: GHF’s distribution network consists of only four sites, primarily in southern Gaza, while previously, under UN coordination, hundreds of distribution points operated across Gaza. This limited reach and focus on militarized zones makes accessing aid incredibly difficult, especially for vulnerable populations and those in the north.
Sideling and lack of cooperation with established aid agencies: The UN and other experienced humanitarian organizations are ready to scale up aid delivery but remain blocked and have largely refused to cooperate with GHF, citing concerns about politicization and weaponization of aid. The UNRWA Commissioner-General noted that the “manmade famine in Gaza has been largely shaped by the deliberate attempts to replace the UN coordinated humanitarian system through the politically motivated GHF”.
Inadequate aid and distribution methods: Concerns have been raised about the nutritional value and practicality of the food boxes distributed by GHF, often requiring fuel and water for cooking, which are scarce resources in Gaza. The distribution method, often described as a “free-for-all,” has also been criticized for failing to ensure equitable access and leaving the most vulnerable with nothing.
In essence, while GHF is delivering some aid, its approach has been widely criticized for being insufficient, unsafe, and undermining the efforts of established humanitarian organizations in the face of a deepening famine
Sources like NPR, ReliefWeb, and Al Jazeera have reported that hundreds of Palestinians in Gaza have been killed while attempting to access humanitarian aid, particularly at distribution sites associated with the “Israel-backed” Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).
Gaza’s Health Ministry claims that hundreds have been killed by Israeli forces at or near these sites.
Israel maintains its forces have only fired warning shots to deter individuals surging fences or approaching restricted zones, and accuses Hamas of using civilians as human shields and hindering aid distribution, according to the American Jewish Committee.
Witnesses and local health officials describe scenes of chaos and violence around aid deliveries, with some individuals run over by trucks or killed by Israeli fire.
Human Rights Watch and a UN inquiry suggest that Israeli actions in Gaza, including targeting civilians, may constitute war crimes.
GHF has challenged some of the UN and Gaza Health Ministry figures, stating they are false or exaggerated.
The Washington Post and other outlets have faced scrutiny for initially reporting these casualty figures without proper verification or context, according to Fox News.
Broader context of the conflict
The war in Gaza has resulted in widespread destruction, severe food shortages, and deaths from starvation, says ABC News.
Israel has implemented a blockade on aid entering Gaza, which has been criticized by the UN and other groups as potentially causing famine.
The conflict is further complicated by Israel’s use of artificial intelligence for targeting Gazans w/ monstrous ethical implications.
The U.S. provides Israel with billions of Christian tax
dollars in foreign aid, primarily for military assistance.
Here’s a breakdown of how that money is used:
Military Aid (Foreign Military Financing - FMF):
Israel receives around $3.3 billion annually in FMF grants, which must be used to purchase US military equipment and services.
These funds support Israel’s defense capabilities and help maintain its qualitative military edge (QME) over potential adversaries in the region.
Missile Defense Programs: An additional $500 million per year is allocated for cooperative U.S.-Israeli missile defense programs.
These programs involve collaboration on research, development, and production of systems like the Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Arrow II.
Since the October 7, 2023, conflict with its self-made enemy, Hamas, the US has significantly increased military aid to Israel, with legislation providing at least $12.5 billion in direct military aid, including replenishing U.S. stockpiles intended to protect American families which are handed over to Israel.
This includes funding for wartime procurement and air defense systems like Iron Dome and David’s Sling.
Economic Assistance: Israel received significant billions of tax dollars for “economic aid;” Israel has now become a high-income country.
US tax dollars in Economic aid to Israel now primarily focuses on specific areas like “humanitarian assistance for Jewish migrants,” technological R&D, higher education, and healthcare.
The tax dollars to aid Israel is often justified by the U.S. government as promoting “US national security interests” and maintaining a strong relationship with a “key ally” in a volatile region.
However, 911 was plotted in Israel’s back yard but Israel was incommunicado——gave the US no clue———as “key ally” Israel allowed some 3000 Americans to die.
Israel’s Qualitative Military Edge (QME): Israel’s control of the US Congress is total-——it actually got a U.S. law passed that requires actions to maintain Israel’s QME, ensuring it possesses a superior military capability compared to its regional counterparts supported by America.
Some American taxpayer groups and individuals advocate for redirecting the tax funds going to Israel to US domestic needs.......
Or, better yet........reevaluating the one-sided US “security partnership” with Israel due to concerns about Israel’s use of tax dollars for genocidal military aid and human rights violations.
Americans? Israel could car less about Americans......
as long as the US tax dollar billions keep rolling in.

This bill specifies that, without the knowledge and consent of US citizens, no federal funds may be used to withhold, halt, reverse, or cancel the delivery of defense articles or defense services to Israel.
Isearael makes a big to-do about “buying” endless US arms, delpleting our defense capability, but when the “bills” come due, Israel sics its annoying Jewish lobby on our Congress to change the “arms bills” into a “gift.”
All without the knowledge and consent of US citizens/taxpayers.
Israel control in the US is so total, it gets the US Congress to make laws that benefit Israel alone.
This is accomplished without the knowledge and consent of US citizens.
Pro-Israel lobbying groups in the United States, most notably the annoying American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), exert significant influence over the U.S. Congress and policy-making towards Israel without the knowledge and consent of US citizens.
Here are some key ways this influence is exerted:
<><>Direct Lobbying: AIPAC has obsessed dedicated lobbyists on Capitol Hill who engage directly with members of Congress and their staff, advocating for policies that align with Israel’s interests.
<><>Campaign Contributions: These organizations, and their associated Political Action Committees (PACs), provide campaign contributions to candidates who support their cause, helping to elect pro-Israel politicians and potentially influence their voting behavior on Israel-related issues.
<><>Building Relationships: AIPAC cultivates relationships with lawmakers, influencing their positions on Israel-related issues through education, information dissemination, and building a sense of shared purpose.
<><>Mobilization and Public Relations: Pro-Israel groups engage in public relations efforts and grassroots mobilization to raise awareness and support for their agenda among the American public and within Congress.
<><>Focus on Key Policy Points: AIPAC’s stated mission involves advocating for policies that strengthen the U.S.-Israel relationship, ensuring Israel’s security, combating terrorism, and promoting stability in the region, according to AIPAC.
<><>Organizing Congressional Trips: AIPAC funds trips to Israel for members of Congress, providing them with firsthand experiences and perspectives that can shape their views on the U.S.-Israel relationship and regional issues.
While lobbying is a legal and common practice in American politics, the influence of pro-Israel groups has drawn criticism.
<><>Some critics argue that this paid trip influence can lead to a U.S. foreign policy that prioritizes Israeli interests over broader American interests in the Middle East and beyond. The level of influence and its impact on U.S. policy are subjects of ongoing debate and discussion, according to A News.
