And a good part of that tumble is due to: 1) his fallout with Musk and the excessive spending in the BBB, and 2) his ill-advised suppression of the Epstein papers. Fixing #2 would be easy if he wanted to, but he’s protecting friends, members of Congress, and the Deep State. Fixing #1 could start with a push for the Line Item Veto.
Agree about Trump’s excessive spending. He should be reducing the national debt, not increasing it. I understand he is in building business and craves for lower interest rates. But Treasury can’t sell long term bonds at 5% mow to fund deficit spending by federal govt. Trump has done very well on many issues except excessive spending.
Rasmussen Is the source here not Hoft. Trump really miscalculated on the Epstein stuff. He actually thought he could declare “nothing to see here”and that would be that. Wrong. He also went neo con in Ukraine in the same week. Not surprising his numbers dropped how far they dropped is. At this point l don’t know how he puts the Epstein fire out. What he is doing is making it worse.
Presidents since George Washington have pushed for a line item veto. It ain’t happening.
