Democrats take the Epstein bait hook, line and sinker
Flopping Aces ^ | 07-15-25 | DrJohn

The Epstein saga continues, now with a bit of legerdemain. The alleged "Epstein list" has disappeared. Pam Bondi made the announcement a couple of weeks ago. When asked about the list In February, Bondi did say "It's sitting on my desk right now to review.” Then it stopped existing.

When questioned about her February statement, Bondi did try to walk back her "Epstein list" comment after the DOJ memo shut down the idea of a client list existing. She claimed she was talking about the broader case files, not some specific bombshell list.

"I was referring to the entire Epstein case file, thousands of pages of documents, videos, and other materials, some of which include deeply disturbing content like child sexual abuse material. There was no specific ‘client list’ as some have speculated, but we are committed to reviewing all relevant materials thoroughly."
There were many reflexive calls for her termination and worse. Dan Bongino threatened to resign if all the files weren't made public. I've said it many times before- wait for the other shoe to drop. And drop it did.

The question in my head, and I posted it several times on X and other social media was "whose bidding is Bondi doing?" This was critically important and the tell was Donald Trump. Was he going to support her or fire her? And it turned out that he supports her. Trump released a lengthy statement on this:

Kash Patel stands with Trump

The conspiracy theories just aren’t true, never have been. It’s an honor to serve the President of the United States @realDonaldTrump— and I’ll continue to do so for as long as he calls on me.
Trump is not bothered about and does support Bondi, and Kash Patel stands with Trump. Where does that leave everything?

Many have seized upon an alleged statement by Alex Acosta. Alex Acosta served as U.S. Attorney from 2005 to 2009 and was appointed Labor Secretary in 2017, serving until his resignation in 2019.

As U.S. Attorney, Acosta negotiated a non-prosecution agreement (NPA) with Epstein’s legal team, which included high-profile attorneys like Jay Lefkowitz and Ken Starr. Under the deal:

A 2020 Justice Department investigation by the Office of Professional Responsibility concluded Acosta exercised “poor judgment” in opting for the NPA and failing to notify victims but found no professional misconduct or corrupt motives (e.g., Epstein’s wealth or connections).

Acosta was allegedly told by the Department of Justice (DOJ) to go easy on Jeffrey Epstein because he "belongs to intelligence", but this comes from a single, unverified source in 2017 and published by the Daily Beast in 2019.

There is no verification of this assertion anywhere.

Unsubstantiated reports say Ghislane was found dead in her cell.
Somehow she smuggled in a firearm and shot herself three times in the back of the head

Love this statement by Trump!
He is exactly on point as usual.

From the article:

What? Dershowitz says everything that can be released has been released? And he also says more should be released?

I remember someone “leaked” Trump’s federal income tax return (well at least 2 pages) showing that Trump didn’t pay any additional federal income taxes for at least one year other than the portion of his income that was withheld from Trump. I think if there was an Epstein list with Trump’s name on it, this list would have been released to the public before the 2020 election (Jeffrey Epstein was arrested on July 6, 2019).

I don't think so. They're the ones who created and controlled the documents in the first place.

Trump controls the DOJ, but he needs to trick the dems into demanding a release of the file before he can do it????
Is that what I just read?
He says they’ve fallen into his trap. The other shoe has dropped. Where? What?

She said the Epstein notebook was sitting on her desk. Not a damn thing about this “list”. The media was very deliberate in their quest for manipulation of what she said.

It would have been released before the 2016 election.

Another poster on another thread provided a link with a video variation on this article.

I decided to spend the time to watch the video.

At the 39 minute the mark the narrator finally explained the source of this analysis...

The question was about “the list of Jeffrey Epstein’s clients.” Word for word exact quotation. Answer: it’s sitting on my desk right now.

Look it up.

She wasn't answering about the list, she was answering about the file and all it's contents, including any list, being on her desk for review. She reviewed the whole file, you don't review a list out of context.

Would President Trump really take so much political flak just to bait the Dems? Dunno.

And again, what would be the point of having the dems push for release? The only thing that comes from that is MAKING THE DEMS LOOK GOOD!

What? Dershowitz says everything that can be released has been released? And he also says more should be released?

This is a pretty interesting view from Dershowitz.

He was named as an abuser by Virginia Giuffre, who was photographed with Prince Andrew. She claimed that Dershowitz abused her six times, which prompted him to sue her for defamation. He claims he never met her, and she later recanted her allegation, and said she might have been mistaken.

Virginia Giuffre drops allegations against Alan Dershowitz, saying she ‘may have made a mistake’

While I know people are anxious to expose those who have abused these young women, there's some likelihood that it might not all be true. IN my opinion, that's what Trump and Bondi and trying to figure out. How do you keep the false information from ruining someone's life or career?
