Orange County, CA – A heroic pup named Rambo finds himself in need of a new home after he was brutally stabbed while defending his family from a violent intruder. The 11-month-old shepherd/husky mix sustained wounds to his chest, neck, shoulders, and a paw while protecting his family from the criminal.
Sadly, Rambo was rushed to a veterinarian for emergency care, but his family opted to NOT take him back home after he was treated, even though staff at Nuevo Road Animal Hospital offered to do his surgery free of charge.
Today, the courageous pup is healing from his wounds and waiting for someone to see his worth and offer him a new home. Rambo is in the care of the German Shepherd of Orange County and in boarding until a family can be found.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Beautiful animal....
What an arse hole. Poor pup, good pup.
POS family. How could they abandon him?
He will be better off without them. Someone who sees his worth will take him home and give him a good life. Bank on it.
Yeah, POS people, they live all around us.
Not to worry. Plenty of people will be opting to adopt this courageous, beautiful guard dog. He’s a hero. The people he protected are scum.

“I don’t want this one, it’s all cut up.”
Some people are just rotten.
I’ll take a guess. The family knows who the home invaders were and bugged out.
What kind of a family is that?
Pup is better off without these ungrateful curs.
The former pet family are acting like Egyptians. Drop kicking a dog who loved and saved their sorry butts. Pretty low bunch if you ask me.
The vets should have PUT THE FAMILY DOWN.
Those ingrates don’t deserve that dog!
Agreed - this family should NEVER be allowed to have another pet. Family Services may want to look into the well being of any children as well.
Yes, and they may have moved to an apartment, a motel, or someplace where they would be unable to keep the dog.
There are a LOT of sc*mbags out there when it comes to animals, just a bunch of sociopathic lunatics completely devoid of even an ounce of empathy, compassion towards animals.
30 years ago I use to work in a warehouse in Greenpoint Brooklyn, corner of Kingsland ave and Greenpoint avenue which was the pet dumping ground of the city it seemed.
Constantly, constantly, people would dump cats, dogs, kittens, puppies, it was horrific. And it was right by a canal with endless rats so try to imagine what would happen to these animals. We would constantly call the city but nobody ever came.
The absolute worst was one night I was waiting at a bus stop which was a block from the warehouse, all ready to go home, and it was absolutely freezing, one of the coldest nights ever and all of a sudden I heard little peeps... “Peep peep peep” At first I thought it was a bird and this little kitten was by my feet and I picked him up and about 5 other kittens came out of nowhere, it was obvious they were just dumped by someone. And then the bus came and the sc*mbag driving it wouldn’t let me take even one kitten on board so I had to leave them as I lived too far to walk and there were no taxis around there, just horrible. Worst job I ever had and an eye opener to the kind of people out there.
We had a German shepherd named Duke who was very intelligent and very loyal. He even loved our cats. When Blanco, our tomcat, developed skin cancer which eventually took his life, Duke comforted him.
How about the intruders? Where they caught? After all, those scumbags caused the injuries to this animal.
Prayers for Rambo. LORD, please watch over him and lead him to a loving, worthy family that will be his home for life.
