The fight between the alt-right and the traditional conservatives (not all are neocons) has far more potential to damage the Trump base than the No Kings protests. Israel needs to finish off Iran on its own. We can supply them with arms and intelligence but a big prolonged war involving American forces will bring back the memories of failures in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Without alt-right enthusiasm last year, Trump might have lost.

Too many older conservatives live in a 1989-2015 time warp. The podcasters are not a fringe as were the partisans of Ross Perot, Pat Buchanan, and Ron Paul. Their audiences exceed those of terrestrial talk radio. Lose them and the Democrats will retake the House and maybe the Senate. If the war continues into 2028, get ready for President Newsom or Harris.
