I don’t know where you created that spin from but In America before I was born, and when I was a child, and when I marched in parades as a soldier, and the American parades since then, it was about the patriotism.

It’s the truth. I would be against this style parade for any president. It is how dictatorships worked. It’s how they’ve worked my entire life. And I don’t really care what people who aren’t smart enough to recognize that truth think now or 10 years from now. Cuba, USSR, Egypt, Angola, Zaire, Chile. I know what kind of countries have these parades. We shouldn’t imitate them. Ever. Even with the best intentions.

BUZZ Incorrect. My parents were Marines. And one was in Viet Nam. And neither thought “displays of strength” were really the kind of thing America needed to be doing.
