It would be nice to hear from the author of the article, but let's sort out your statement. There is no evidence in the record of such a lie. What is in the record is Trump's statement that he had to fire Flynn because Flynn lied to Pence and the FBI. It is relevant that Trump did not state Flynn lied to him.
Trump fired Flynn as any competent manager would before he knew how duplicitous Pence would prove to be. Flynn, of course, has deep and very reliable intel sources and was no doubt aware of Pence's character and was very careful in his dealings with him.
The federal case was based on an alleged lie to the FBI. Flynn at the time may have had good reason to know the FBI had an anti-Trump agenda and was overly cautious in his dealing with them. More directly, there is evidence the FBI threatened to destroy his son and son’s family during the interview in which Flynn purportedly lied. The case was eventually thrown out, but only after the damage was done.

New START - which regulated the exposure of certain aircraft for the purpose of satellite inspection - is null and void!
Putin himself officially repudiated it in Feb. of 2023. He declared that Russia would no longer abide by it. Russia has been in breach of it for more than 2 years.
New START is no more relevant to the issue at hand than the Treaty of Westphalia (which ended the Thirty Years War).

Yes, Rhino had it correct also. We had several weeks of debate about it here on the FR as it happened in real time. So no one can claim they are completely clueless.
It all comes down to the credibility of Pence and the FBI. Trump trusted when he should not have. Because the credibility of both are worthless. And Flynn didn’t even lie, it was twisted and manipulated.
The problem was Flynn loves his Country and the people more than he loves the dollar. The MIC loves the dollar more than they care for our Country or it’s people.
The MIC won that round. And the only reason folks are dumping on Flynn is because of the cult. Trump is infallible, there is just no way anyone like the FBI or Pence could fool Trump like that because he is a genius and plays 4D chess.
Truth is they used the media to pressure Trump into firing Flynn. They put Trump on the spot and if he didn’t fire him he would have looked even worse at the time. They found and used Trump’s one weakness, he cares a whole LOT about his image... He has even wrapped his image in Gold...
They were both set up...

President Trump was not defeated in the 2020 presidential election. I live in Cobb County, GA where the cheat happened just like in Fulton County.
