Good names. North Texas has a lot to offer us, and we can help them too.
I live in Spokane, just about 75 miles south of that border, and my friends lived so close that when they walked their dogs in a park along the river, all they had to do was look north to see Alberta.

Even if they voted to leave Canada, I don’t see Ottawa allowing it to happen..............
Their Constitution, unlike ours, has specific allowances for secession. Even most of the Crown land is actually owned by the Province. Ottawa's main weapon to frustrate secession is a number of treaties made with Canadian Injuns (Metis, First Nations) that cover a LOT more than reservations. They don't want to go anywhere, and there are enough of them (~250,000) to make them hard to buy off.
