There are other things besides an eclipse that can make the moon turn red. Smoke high in the atmosphere, for example.
Passover was April 3 in 33 AD. So there ya go.
Was that date the Friday before Passover?
Up next: How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?
Does not matter when he died all that matters is that he rose from the grave to save a lost and hopeless world.
April is the cruelest month.
NASA, stick to space.
Lunar eclipses occur only at night and solar eclipses only in the daytime and last only a few minutes.
Interesting that they can find evidence the points to a particular day.

There was an early Roman attempt to explain the Darkness as Noon as an Eclipse.
Thallus on the Darkness at Noon
In "Jesus and Christian Sources outside the New Testament" by FF Bruce cites a letter by a Greek who offers the same suggestion of an eclipse. (IIRC...I no longer have the book, gave it to a grand nephew taking up...possibly...the ministry. It is still available as an Ebook)
Ebook Jesus and Christian Origins outside the New Testament
FF Bruce has a second book "The New Testament Documents, are they Reliable?" They are and he discusses why. Available at the same source as above.
And it was NOT on a Friday! That would have made Jesus/Yeshua a LIAR.....which he never was.
At 3:33 P.M.?
April 3, 33 AD, was a Sunday.
I’m still of the mindset that Jesus was born sometime between 6 BC and 4 BC. And Luke 3:23 has the Greek word “hosei” meaning “about” 30 years old. So we’re not sure of when Jesus was born or exactly how old He was when He began His ministry (even if we’re sure He did His ministry for 3 years before being crucified).
Anybody with the software has been able to do this for years. Old news.
Star of Bethlehem etc.
Yes?

I believe that day is critical for a future unbelieving Israel to resolve and understand, like the ‘abomination of desolation’ is something for the reader to understand, for us Christians its a matter of great interest only.
“Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.” Luke 19:42
I believe it was on the April 6th 32 AD when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey fulfilling that prophecy and was then crucified on the 14th of Nisan, Wednesday April 9th, 32 AD.
Jesus was in the tomb by 6 PM just prior to sunset then rose again Sunday morning (after 6 PM Saturday night) on the 17th day of Nisan. In the tomb for three days and three nights. Going from the 14th of Nisan to 17th of Nisan, April 13th, 32 AD.
April 13th 32 AD -— 14,000 days -—> Temple is destroyed after burning three days, August 12th 70 AD.
Jesus began speaking in Parables one year earlier, just my conjecture but I believe Israel was given 40 years to repent, they did not and their house was left desolate.
40 years x 360 days = 14,400 days.
This date also coincides with Daniel Chapter 9 and Gabriel explaining the timing of the coming of Messiah, and also aligns with Israel (the People) restored May 14th, 1948 and Jerusalem (the City) restored June 7th 1967 counting from the Babylonian Captivity where they failed to keep the Jubilee and God required that time back (70 years) to keep the Laws and Ordinances mechanism Holy, so that Messiah could later insert himself into this dead world and restore it with the Jubilee of his Holy life.
“And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours. And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it. And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste. Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies’ land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.” Leviticus 26:31-34
” . . .Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the Lord” Jeremiah 8:11-12
“and shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.” Luke 19:44
“Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.” Matthew 23:38-39
“And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.” Luke 11:29
“for as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” Matthew 12:40
Now match it to an earthquake that shook Jerusalem at the death of Jesus
In the Church of Holy Sepulchre, if you get to go to the underground under where the cross now stands, guides will show you the cracked rock where the cross replica stands …from an earthquake
Interesting extra lore…our guide claimed local legend is this is the same spot where Cain slew Able and his blood dripped into the ground
They have stories on stories over there!
Listen to two angels tell us about this wonderful gift our Lord gave to us.
