President Donald Trump is reportedly set to receive a lavish Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet from Qatar’s royal family.
The nearly brand-new aircraft, originally commissioned by Qatari royals, will be temporarily used as Air Force One during Trump’s second term and then donated to the Trump Presidential Library Foundation upon the conclusion of his presidency, according to sources familiar with the arrangement who spoke to ABC News.
The aircraft, which has flown only a handful of times, is estimated to be worth upwards of $400 million and features gold-plated fixtures, private suites, and luxury lounges fit for royalty.
President Trump reportedly toured the jet in February at Palm Beach International Airport and expressed keen interest in its potential as a presidential aircraft.
This unprecedented arrangement — believed to be the most valuable foreign gift ever extended to the United States — has already triggered a meltdown on the Left.
Rasking wrote, “Trump must seek Congress’ consent to take this $300 million gift from Qatar. The Constitution is perfectly clear: no present “of any kind whatever” from a foreign state without Congressional permission. A gift you use for four years and then deposit in your library is still a gift (and a grift).”
Of course, Raskin conveniently ignores key facts and legal precedent.
According to ABC, Trump’s legal team — including White House Counsel David Warrington and Attorney General Pam Bondi — proactively sought clearance from the Department of Defense and the DOJ to ensure the arrangement was above board. Sources familiar with their findings say both departments concluded the plan is “legally permissible.”

A "gift" and he's getting it from Qatar.
Since Boeing can’t deliver the new Air Force One 747s until 2030 at the earliest, and since the current 747s are very dated, I don’t see the problem.
Boeing has been d***ing around with the new AF1 for a decade. That’s the real scandal.
I hope engineers go over it with a fine-toothed comb. I trust no one when it comes to Trump.
Horrible. Qatar is not our ally. They fund terrorism, has been funding our schools with BILLIONS to foment anti-American “studies” and bankrolling pro-Hamas protesters.
It seems it should be a gift to the United States not Trump. No idea why it would ultimately go to the Trump library rather than the U. S. government.
Trump is the world’s GOAT trolling again.
Gives em something to talk about. 🤪🤗🤪
I worked at the Boeing-Everett wide body assembly plant (40-56 bldg) and have been inside a UAE 777. The bling thats inside these luxury air-yachts has to be seen to believed. I’ve seen the Arab Shieks walk around the Boeing offices in their glowing electric-white robes flanked by Boeing marketing guys. I was told that when presented with different interior designs, they would ask to see which one was the most expensive to build and then they’d just choose that one. Money means nothing to these oil-rich cats.
I don’t see this happening. What’s the cost in time and $$$$ to retrofit it to meet military and security technology requirements and standards?
Every panel and fixture will have a listening device molded into it.
I would not trust a used 747 from a foreign country to haul our President.
Especially a country that harbors Hamas.
I’m gonna guess that Rascal Raskin won’t be getting a ride.
“””I hope engineers go over it with a fine-toothed comb. I trust no one when it comes to Trump.”””
Isn’t there the historical story about a Trojan Horse?
This just makes us look weak and pathetic. The greatest country in the world cannot supply our president with a suitable aircraft. So we have to accept one from a Muslim country.
Nonsense. Make do with what we’ve got now until a suitable replacement is available.
