What rank?

It used to be, any reportage about a servicemember notably used their rank - “Sgt Smith” or whatever. Always. Now it is uniformly (heh) absent. Why is that?

OLD article...still, obviously, relevant.

Military-Trained Gang Members in the Volunteer State in the United States: Revisiting the Issue after Four Years

United States Military Criminal Investigative Organizations (MCIO) - the Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID), Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), and Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) - have identified military personnel with gang membership or affiliation in every branch of the U.S. military (National Gang Intelligence Center [NGIC], 2013). While military laws prohibit active membership, street gangs, Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs (OMGs), and Domestic Terrorist Extremist (DTE) groups all have members who have or are enlisted in the military.

“””Juan Gabriel Orona-Rogriguez, a 28-year-old soldier,”””

I am guessing that Juan is one of those Obama Dreamers who was promised citizenship if he joined the Army.

Am I correct?

OK, that’s one of ‘em, but what about the OTHER 16 active duty soldiers providing “security” for an unlawful nightclub known to be frequented by illegal aliens, from which 114 illegal aliens were arrested?

Technically I do not think this Soldier is allowed by regulation to hold a job off post.

He is a SSG so there is no excuse for him not knowing the rules. SSG's are were the rubber meets the road !

The only attraction of the military is the retirement. Not too smart to throw it away.
